I hope folks will understand that this is a melodrama and not a Romcom. There will be hardship then healing then recovery. It’s not all bout butterflies and roses! There is a lot more to the FL’s character. There is a reason she is the way she is. So I hope folks are patient and the the story evolve. It has 40 episodes. Also Song Yan is not your perfect ML that we often see from Yang Yang. He has his own demons he has to overcome. There is also a reason behind him lashing out!

Yep I agree. I struggled with the first 5 episodes and then dropped it. Unfortunately it just didn’t click for me. I’ve been really looking forward to a xu kai drama so this was an overall let down. I’ll have to wait for his next one.

I thoroughly enjoyed the novel, I was able to put faces to characters so it made it that much more interesting. If you guys have a chance I’d say read the novel too. Apart from the maybe skinship, it’s very similar to the drama.
