I haven’t read the manga or watched the anime the series is based on, so I can’t make any comparisons. But I do know Smart & Boom from other dramas, and I never would’ve guessed they’d make such a great duo. Their chemistry is effortless and natural, and they’ve grown so much as actors, especially in how they express emotions without words.
There were definitely some moments I wish had been handled differently, but the story of a rookie actor falling for a veteran was compelling enough to keep me coming back episode after episode. At times, it felt like I was watching a stage play.
The supporting cast delivered an excellent performance, with Euro Waratthip Kittiphaisan standing out as Naru. I have a feeling he’s going to drive Johnny crazy with his rebellious streak in the upcoming seasons. Definitely worth checking out.
