If I could give it more than a 10, I would.
It’s never been so easy to rate a show a perfect 10 from the first episode to the last. I’ll admit I started watching because of Pond and Gun. Unlike some, I’ve always thought Pond was an exceptional actor. He really becomes his characters and brings something genuine and heartfelt to every role. This series proved that once again. His portrayal of Day was flawless, showing an incredible range of emotions with such authenticity.
Gun, on the other hand, is already a well-established talent. 😍 His performance as Ozone, a child with special needs, was absolutely phenomenal. He nailed the subtleties of the character with remarkable precision and care. Dew and Pahn also completely won me over with their performances.
The series had me hooked from start to finish as I tried to piece together the mysteries behind the Leap Day curse. I smiled, laughed, cried, felt tenderness and anger. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. The writing is smart and nuanced, the characters are rich, complex and really well developed. And the direction is both sensitive and skillful. It beautifully explores themes of family, friendship, and the sacrifices we’re willing to make for the people we love most.
Huge congrats to everyone involved in creating this masterpiece. No doubt about it: this is one of the best series of the year, and I’ll be rewatching it more than once. Highly, highly recommend!
