That bathroom scene between Yusheng and Tang Jing. So intense! I didn't exactly see who turned on the shower but both ending up in wet clothes at the end was visually impactful. OMG, I totally agree with you about Wayne Wang being ML material. I really like his acting, there is this natural feeling to it.

I was watching Joy Of Life halfway and stopped. I will resume it while waiting for more episodes of Because of Love to air so I can binge watch all at one go till the ending. If I didn't read the comments about some people not happy with Wallace Chung using his own voice, I wouldn't have been any wiser. Anyway, I like the tone and sound of his voice. His kissing skills is also awesome.. Huhu.

I binged watched this drama up to Episode 15 at almost one go. I even became a Youku paid member on Youtube to have access to all the episodes. Talk about total immersion. What got me started was Wallace Chung (ML) and Wang Yang (SML). I watched Wang Yang in 'You Are My Hero' and I liked him there a lot. Li Xiaoran (FL) has such a tragic beauty face and I'm totally all for it. How can someone have such doe eyes with tears in perpectually all episodes and still look so alluring. What made me watch on was the great acting and the use of actors original voice. I truly cannot stand dramas that are overdubbed. A shoutout to the SFL. I like her character (she really has some witty remarks) and hopefully she gets her own deserving love story. Am I the only one who thinks her scenes with a certain someone was super hot. I can't believe there are 15 more episodes to go until the end. I feel like all my emotions are drained at the moment.

Thanks for sharing the information. I'll keep a watch on the ribbons. I normally just see if FL is up walking or in a wheelchair to give me an idea what timeline.

I gave up trying to make sense of the back and forth in the story timeline. All the events that have unfolded, I can't even make sense which comes before/after what. I reckon it's too build up some kind of tension but I'm totally not feeling it.

I read the drama synopsis and saw 'zombie' and decided not to watch it. But after reading some general positive reviews, I thought I'll just let it run for the heck of it. Wow, the first 15 mins was pure winner. Normally, high school arcs are pure fillers and cringe-worthy but this was just so good. And it gave us the iconic 'wedding photo'. Haha!
Pacing was good in first two episodes and no draggy bits. The action sequences are really kick-ass as well. I'm really liking FL & ML. Both are level headed and don't make your roll your eyes at scripted stupidity. I'm looking forward to more frenemy relationship between the army medic x FL and infection disease specialist x ML. Chemistry between ML x FL is easy-going and I wonder if any love will blossom.

It's just that considering the FL and her dad has absolutely pretty much zero contact and not great relationship, I find it hard to believe she will just agree to help. But I am of course happy that she went to help so she has more contact time with ML. ML grandparents' are soooo great!! Thanks for your explanation!

I think because it's like on average one kiss every two episodes (after episode 6). It's like before I know it, they are kissing again. Haha! I like all the sweet moments so I'm not complaining. Anyway, you are right, I think the censors probably don't care about a boy x girl kissing (since they are now busy on a quest to stem out all the BL stuff.)

On whether to start it, if you want some nice sweet moments, can give it a go. I normally like to watch dramas with budding actors/actresses so I generally have a reasonable expectation. Not sure if you have watched Our Secret (Chen Zhe Yuan x Rainbow), but it's really good as well.

Started with liking the black poster that looked so dreamy. I really like the little opera bits but it's pretty obvious the FL is lip-synching. There are so many sweet kisses between FL and ML starting from episode 6 I think. I wonder how it passed those strict China censors. Overall, it's a sweet love story and they do have a pretty healthy relationship talking about whatever issues that are troubling them. To date (at episode 18), I haven't rolled my eyes too badly. I'm awaiting the breakup scene that is upcoming. On the downside, the drama pacing and editing are big problems. I sometimes feel some parts are really draggy and sometimes I don't understand how something happened (cue when FL broke some ceramic doll. huh, how did that happen?? Did she freaky walked into the doll or what. And up until now, I'm not clear how FL ended up cooking for ML's family). I preferred the acting from the FL and I will be looking out for her future dramas. The ML is really swoon-worthy delicious looking although his voice dubbing sounds a bit weird to me. I sort of think with his manbun hairstyle and all, his voice wouldn't be that 'smooth'. The OST especially Opening song is so great! Huang Xiaoyun is a really good singer.

I watched One and Only and was blown away from Allen Ren and Bailu. Rushed off to read the English translated novel and enjoyed it a lot. ZSC - In this drama, I like how ZSC is portrayed as less frosty and more dorky. Our dorky Professor trying his best to be romantic (slinging Shi Yi's handbag across his body... I almost died laughing). His interactions with Uncle Lin driver is hilarious.
Shi Yi - In the novel, my impression of Shi Yi is a quiet, withdrawn woman (a bit like living in her own world but trying hard to socialise normally as not to worry her parents). Bailu is a naturally cheerful actress. I totally love her in Arsenal
Military Academy. As for her portrayal of Shi Yi here, she does seem more cheerful and comfortable
when interacting with people than what I had in mind but that's okay. My only complaint is the award dress. I thought in the novel its said Shi Yi dresses in a conservative manner and won't bare her shoulders.
Mei Xing - Wow, the actor playing MX totally blown me away. I like what I'm seeing! Feel so bad for him when he will finally meet Shi Yi and seeing his heart break.
Hongyu - I like the actress. She's fun and caring as Shi Yi's best friend. In the novel, I actually found Hongyu a bit irritating but I like her in the drama portrayal.
Wen Chuan - As for ZSC's younger brother, I feel there is a mismatch. In the novel, I had this impression he was (fake) friendly - He hugged Shi Yi I think first time he met her in the novel and he's had this flirtatious manner with the designer lady. But he's like a freaky iceberg here.

I started watching to see how gritty and dark it would be. I was impressed but I wouldn't say its totally crazy dark. But they don't blur out any images on the drama, so just be aware of that

Yup totally agree. Its a good watch, I'll be following this drama. Fast moving and kept me hooked.

I'm a total sucker for police bromance. I just watched the first 4 episodes. I'm not sure which bromance you might be thinking, but I'm not totally feeling it yet.
