JBR is a regular cast member of 朋友请听好. And they decided to meet up there to "restart" their friendship? In ep 25, Gui Xiao related to Lu Chen what she told her dad about their relationship. She said that in the 6 months that they have been together, Lu Chen only stayed over not more than 2 weeks! Wow! That's a huge revelation for me. I was wondering how often were they able to meet. Physically meet 2 weeks in 6 months? That's tough on any relationship!! It's a good thing that Gui Xiao is such an independent lady. Like what she said in ep 17, she is already living a full and perfect life without him. If she didn't meet him again, she was happy to live by herself.
If I meet my lover for only 2 weeks in 6 months, I would be super clingy too! Lol.
A big thank you to the director of Road Home. My heart is so full after watching episode 29 & 30. From ep 1-28, Lu Chen has been such a stoic character. He’s really a man of few words. He doesn’t flatter her or say loving words etc. My actions of love are physically touch and words of affirmation. Am I needy? Yes I am. 😂 From his wedding speech onwards to the end of ep 30, I can finally see how much he truly loves Chen Xiao. Like what it was written, he fell first and he fell harder. 🥰🥰🥰
Last episode today! It's going to be tough to get out of this drama. The director and scriptwriter did a fantastic job. Tan Songyun and Jing Boran did a fantastic job of portraying the characters. I love that they paired both of them together. Tan Songyun with her soft baby face with Jing Boran's sharp features is so matching. I love their chemistry in the bts and in the drama. Watching them during their interview was so cute. They kept looking at one another, affirming what the other said and teasing one another. The fact that they reconnected before filming Road Home was really sweet. You can watch them on He Jiong's Welcome Back to Sound Season 2 (ep 9-10). I think that helped to break the ice before filming. They are both such great actors. I love Tan Songyun's voice....I never get sick of it. Watching her in her dramas give me a sense of calm and healing. I know that there are other great dramas out there but somehow the FL's voices will turn me off and that stops me from starting or dropping those dramas. Thank you, director, scriptwriter, actors, actresses. Thank you for making my heart sing. In the meantime, I will wait impatiently and languish around until Tan Songyun's new movie & drama. May she find the happiness that belongs to her. May we find a Lu Chen who will love us as unconditionally & deeply. And may all the Lu Chen find their Gui Xiao. Even if we don't find our Lu Chen or Gui Xiao, may we always be happy and healthy. :o)
Oh oh oh...It was just announced on the official weibo account that there is a live broadcast of the Road Home team on 31 March at 7pm! But it seems that only Jing Boran is attending it. So sad...I was hoping that Tan Songyun will also participate too. I love to watch their cute interactions. I think that they are really good friends but I noticed that they are both not following one another's weibo account which is kind of weird because TSY follows all her past male leads on weibo. I read that they are not planning to promote the CP for this drama......out of respect for JBR's relationship.

Lol. I normally don't like to start a drama until it's all done. But I can't resist watching when it comes to my favourite c-drama actress! But in particular, this drama really resonates with my personal experience. Dating a guy in the army is not all fun...it really takes alot of patience, love and tolerance.
It is already difficult to be in a normal relationship when you can see, talk & hug one another regularly. But to be in a long distance relationship with someone who is physically untouchable and is uncontactable most of the time.....that is the most difficult relationship to maintain, especially when you are young and going through a difficult patch in your life. Reading the novel really helped me understand the drama better. I would watch the episode, read the novel and rewatch the episode again. So many things make sense after that. Try it. It will make the drama more enjoyable! I have enjoyed every single episode. It's so sweet and romantic. Ticks all the right boxes. :)
