Not hating but I do not get Manamis crush on Kaoru. At what point and why does she start to like him? he was using some of his „business techniques“ on her and she was aware of it. She pitied him for his bad upbringing and bc he can not read. He did not appear to several of their „classes“ and they did not spent a lot of time together. plus: Kaoru is behaving very juvenile and often she is aware that he is manipulating her… I do not see why and when Manami started to like him… Even though the series tries to tell me, that she had to „fight her feelings“.. it never felt like it. It felt very sudden when she tells him she starts to like him as well. I am still watching it but i am not feeling it.
i feel that this is overhyped. yes it is good. a solid series but it has got some really stretched out episodes. Especially towards the end i thought about dropping it several times. I felt there were too many filler episodes. the actors/actresses are amazing and i enjoyed them. they really carried this show. A 7.5 overall for me.
It was fun to watch. just the age difference between Dong Eun and her supposed schoolmates kind of irritated me. especially in the beginning. yes, she looks great. especially for her age. but still she looks like she is in her late thirties (she is 42 in real life so she still looks amazing and much younger) while her schoolmates look like they are in their late twenties (and irl they actually are). that kind of irritated me during the show. it was just not believable. still it was nice to watch. not amazing but good.
I am in love with Kim Min Jung and her portrayal of Jung Sun Ah. Amazing actress. Love it! I am actually rooting for the villain. And that never happens. 😂 Any recommendations for other series with her? (does not have to be in the role of a villain)
I watched the chinese and the thai version and was entertained but imo the chinese version is better. yes, the chinese version is missing some romance but i feel the fl and ml fit the roles much better. the fl in the thai version is too loud, too over-the-top. she dioes not fit the title („snail“).the chinese female lead is a much better fit. She is not the cookie-cutter fl but… has a weird but special personality. plus the police scenes seemed much more real. the story was intriguing. All in all it was much more mature.the thai version imo just seems a little bit like a budget version. too loud. If they did not use the title „when a snail falls in love“ i would expect less and would not be disappointed. now i feel kind of cheated bc i am missing the feeling the chinese version gave me. so if you do not expect too much, the thai version is probably solid. i prefer the chinese version by a lot (just be aware that the chinese version is missing some romance).
I am watching right now but that circus / carnival music is driving me insane. Plus it is so loud that sometimes i even can not hear what they are talking. Who chose that awful music in literally every second scene????
Watched it but do not get the hype. Even without the open ending imo the story is all over the place. 🤷♀️ Well I guess it is personally just not my cup of tea.
I guess everyone is mad about the ML's reaction.... I too was disappointed in him.. he should be supporting her…
I think they are misleading the viewers and the ML is acting out of guilt. Yeah, i know it is stupid and sounds stupid but i am pretty sure that is the reason for his strange behaviour.
I rarely drop anything. I put it on-hold or I will skip through it. Maybe because I know what themes I like in general and choose the series I will watch carefully before starting it. (I read a lot of different reviews beforehand). I feel like most of the stuff I put on-hold did not deserve the bad treatment. xD City Hunter and Goblin are on there right now and they are imo really good... I just have the tendency to get bored very very easily. So... for example I will watch 10 episodes and like it. But at the same time, I want to watch some other series because it scratches a certain itch (For example: I suddenly want more romance. Or more revenge. Or something crime related). So I put the current series on-hold (sometimes even watching the last episode to see how it ends *shame-on-me*) and watch something "new". Most of the time I do get back to the series I put on hold. And the second time, I get through it. xD I feel like I should really finish Goblin right now. ;-)
