I am sorry but I don't agree with writer's theory about whats wrong and whats right.. Baek Ho Rang's ego or embarrassment…
Personally, while watching it, I wasn't thinking that Horang was right, but rather that she's not a perfect person nor a perfect character. I thought that the fact that she had made a decision like that regarding their friendship was a fault of hers and something that she had done "wrong". I don't really understand Horang, but I think that some of the seemingly wrong choices she's made add more to her as a character and I don't think the writer is trying to portray her as making the "right" decision in those situations. Nonetheless, I do see where you're coming from and I do agree that her decisions were made in bad judgment.
I'm still watching this show, but the thing that really bothers me, more than the female lead, is the fact that the ML seems to be suffering from social anxiety. I'm bothered by the fact that it's been labeled as introversion.
