I think the issue is viewers that finished a more recent drama are expecting the same fast pace dynamics between the leads and waste all their time comparing.. I’ve seen so many comments complaining about camera angle, or makeup and how pale FL looks.. you know cuz she’s a ghost queen 🙄

Idk, I always go into a drama with no expectations and I don’t compare any of it. I watch it because I like it and if I don’t I drop it and move on.

I hate waiting for new episodes so I usually wait until half way point before I start a drama. But lately I’ve been starting them early 😅

I’m enjoying this story, chemistry, visuals & pacing.

She literally only acts like that in the episode 1 in that scene because she is in disguise.. half way through episode 1 you see her character shift. She is the ghost queen and it will show how powerful she really is..

I feel it’s either they don’t like the leads or are expecting fast payoff in romance like some other popular dramas and refuse to slow down and just enjoy it.

It’s like riding a thrilling roller coaster, only a bigger more thrilling one will excite you next.. going back to a slower pace ride will only bore you unless you’re able to appreciate each ride for its own charm.

I personally enjoy this pacing & character building, storyline, visuals, and think the actors are doing a great job in both chemistry and owning their character.

Yes!! I really enjoyed the first half of POJ.. second not so much.

I don’t understand the need to compare dramas.. you like that one great! Don’t like this one that’s fine too! But to come on LBTG page just to say the other one camera, make up or whatever else is so much better… what’s the point? Drop it and move on!

Right?! It’s fine if it’s not your style/genre but to nitpick at these little things as the reason it’s a bad drama?!! Every complaint is “no chemistry” or “camera angle looks weird” something shallow “can’t stand the hair and makeup” really!? That’s what you got?!!

Haters are literally rating each episode all the way to 40 which obviously hasn’t even aired ..So when rating each episode it brings the overall ratings down.

For reals it’s so annoying. It’s only a first few episodes and the complaints are so freaking dumb. Like just say you hate her and be done… go watch your bias and leave this for the ones that’s aren’t crazy to tear her down for no reason

Blind daughter and scholar is working together. He’s behind the scenes doing whatever she wants cuz he’s in love. Remember that episode he said “don’t need to play these tricks on me I’ll do whatever to help you?!”
They killed nanny to get that exact reaction from FL to go against grandma. They’re banking on her having feelings for these “outsiders”

Oooh also…. remember when grandma saw her doing that “prayer” for FL?! Monk Yan expression after they walked away is telling of something.. did he noticed something off about blind girl?

FL male servant that’s in love with her.. he’s creating chaos too. To keep these men away from her. He’s probably also working with someone who is also using him to do their dirty work but not sure who yet..

Monk Yan may be related to Wei family somehow? The grandma’s evil old flame - not sure if he’s related to the old flame too?? Grand uncle? Manipulating behind the scenes for revenge..

ML knows blind girl is evil. He mentioned it before..

Agree. This story isn’t perfect but blame that on censorship and limitations of episodes. That’s why I take most of the plot holes with a grain a salt. You can kinda tell where scenes were edited/cut so they did have a better story at one point.. Overall it was enjoyable and different from the cookie cutter stories. I also know haters will down vote this all day because the same ones are probably praising other modern drama out this year that really aren’t that good just because their favorite actors are in it.

Yup all episodes had low low ratings before they even aired. Not surprised now they releases all episodes the haters downvote more..

Question for the people that read the novel…
Was TSJ character in the book more interesting?! Like was it CLEAR he was a good choice for her? I read scenes that were meant TSJ in the novel were switched to other characters and details were left out.. but besides that, did his role in the book had more of an impact?
