I love how the writer made the male characters specially the siblings!! It is my first time seeing siblings with no rivalry but pure brotherhood!!

The han Guy is also a very typical egoistic and have this typical patriarchal mindset. Imagine proposing with a little to no reliable dowry which is very big deal in ancient times. He just think that lanxiang came from a poor background so putting an effort is not necessary.

In modern standards no but in ancient times. He is a green forest. Other men wouldve killed the han guy and feed him to the pigs. In the latest episode he is also monogamous. Even in the latest episode he clearly stated. " in this lifetime you're going to be my only wife. Which I doubt about the han guy. Lol. In ancient time standards as woman. That's the best assurance you can get considering that majority of noble men atleast have 3 wives. Who are fighting for the position as main wives.

Ive been watching this guy for a long time I think this is his best role as well. Btw those dimples lol

He just genuinely loves her because who in the earth with sane mind would ask an edict from the emperor to marry a person of low status. Other's would've asked for a high position or a princess wife. Lol

Where could you find a man who would trade a favour from an emperor just to marry a commoner who came from a slave status? Thats the ML. He is not perfect but probably one of the best written character that I have ever encountered in cdrama history.

I can't believe I have the same motto as the ML. Bitterness first sweetness later or Hardships now success later. Lol. I think I found my most favorite character of all Xianxia so far. Lol
