It had potential. I honestly enjoyed it from start to finish. It is in par with ABO. ABO just had a good director and script writer or I would say since it is a novel it had a good plot. Acting wise both the same. The main leads here are okay but sub characters here are all like rookies. I felt like watching a vertical drama in a long form. Even the directing and transitions are like vertical drama. It was okay for an omegaverse. Which some viewers are not even knowledgeable about

I don't know how old the watchers of this drama but the comment section smells immaturity. The last time I felt watching a historical concept cdrama like this one was with story of minglan. The details are very subtle but if you're focusing on the drama youll notice it. The weed on the fist episodes at almost the end of the episode. The latest where she saw the plum blossoms and eventually liking it. The amulet. The gradual build up of characters per episode. It is a slow but made the right way. YES IN ANCIENT TIMES SLAVES AND EVERYONE WHO ARE IN A LOWER CLASS ARE TREATED LIKE LIVESTOCKS! They emphasized NIGHT SOIL COLLECTOR. These are people collecting human wastes one of the lowest jobs you could ever have in ancient china. Dont just focus on the love or romantic scenes you will miss lots of details

The last time I felt this way while watching a drama was years ago when Story of Minglan is released. Slowburn but it is so well done with no boring moments.

I prefer this one they are just starting their relationship lol. And people who are starting are kissing like this. With care, hesitation.... they can't just devour each other specially that they are getting to know each other. Also I don't find their kissing scenes dirty, erotic and overdone. It is romantic in the eye. You can feel the love and yearning just by watching them kissing. which is rare for BL dramas to portray don't start me with maxnat BS because it is literally the opposite of the vibe they are trying to show on the series.

The best pair kissers in the whole Thai BL's Ive ever watched. Feels natural, emotions are there and also I can see that they are well experienced. Both are excellent in kissing its not erotic not looking like rookies. It as if like a sweet spot!!!
