Even though Leo Wu is boyish, he may still pull off Ashina Sun, I think. There will also be soft scenes of Ashina…
Well, don’t get worked up.Its just a speculation.Ofc there are other Uyghur actresses but it isn’t the point of my topic.I don’t know how they choose or why they choose but honestly, the MC is not Reba’s type.Face, body structure, personality, mostly have differences. But it’s ok though. If it’s Reba, she will pull it off beautifully (like Mark Chao as Ye Hua in Eternal Love). She’s able to transform into a new person perfectly with her talent. This,I’m sure of it.Its just my yearning to get a perfect cast for a story that I can’t wait to see live action. It has already started filming so why argue about it anyways.

Those who are looking down on Leo wu should go watch his dramas.. playing such a perfect role in fights break…
Have you read the manhua? If so, you’d know.Nobody says Leo Wu is a bad actor.People are just concerned with the characters’ visuals.See,let me explain. In the manhua, the male lead is a Turk General. He is so masculine and devilishly handsome. He’s quite cruel and ruthless too.On the other hand, the female lead is a young princess who has to dress up as a boy to survive because she is hunted by the current usurper emperor. She is a genius and somehow the male lead meet her as a small military strategist. So they’re like a big muscular brother and a small petile sister. If they go on like the cast,Reba will be the big sister and Leo Wu,the little brother. Also, their height difference is not much either, unlike the manhua. So ,they really need to change the cast in my honest opinion. If they still wish to cast Leo Wu,they’ll need to change Reba with a younger actress with a smaller stature. If they are insistent on Reba, then they’ll need an older and masculine actor with tall stature. And before you watch it,I recommend reading the manhua.

This shocked me. I love this manhua and I be very excited after announcement that it will have drama but after…
Even though Leo Wu is boyish, he may still pull off Ashina Sun, I think. There will also be soft scenes of Ashina ,so I don’t worry about it too much. However, the female lead is different. They ONLY chose Dilraba because she is Uyghur decent. She’s nothing like the female lead we read in the manhua. I think I will not be watching it if they continue to cast Dilraba persistently. Also, she is like only a bit shorter than Leo Wu, who would be male lead.We know the massive height difference in the manhua, right?Sometimes, Ashina Sun even seem like a child molester :D because the FL is so small and adorable.

On the contrary,I think Wu Lei’s cast as Ashina is perfect.Dilraba is beautiful and nice but I don’t want…
I have watched so many of Dilraba’s dramas and all of them are awesome. She’s badass and cool in The Flame’s Daughter, innocent and cute in Eternal Love. She is an outstanding actress and absolutely stunning. However, let me be a little bias because this is my favorite manhua. They can cast so many young actresses like Ouyang NaNa,Lareina Song,Yang Chaoyue and Jelly Lin.Their faces also look like the princess in the manhua too. Also, the princess has two little hair strands on either side of her face, and a small forehead.I just really can’t imagine Dilraba looking like that. Her ethnicity is the only thing that matches with the character. But do we really need an Uyghur actress playing an Uyghur character?
I might be fussing over this but I don’t care if any actress is selected for a drama that is adapted from a novel. We haven’t seen the character and we really don’t know how they look like. They’re all imaginary. But the manhua and anime are different because we at least know their features. And Song of The Long March is a manhua that is pretty accurate historically in costumes and hairstyles(no colored hairs or fantasy outfits). So if they are trying to make a drama from it,try to do it look like the original work or don’t make it at all.

Because everyone is looking down on Wu Lei and no one is willing to defend Wu Lei at all. I'll do it. Although…
On the contrary,I think Wu Lei’s cast as Ashina is perfect.Dilraba is beautiful and nice but I don’t want her to be Li ChangGe at all.In the manga, the princess is so young and petile, almost like a child. Also she has a cute oval face. The main fact is that the actress who play princess ChangGe has to look good in male clothing and really look like a cute boy. There is also a sense of helplessness and vulnerability which can be seen in her face.I think Dilraba would be able to pull it off but she’s not what I hoped for my favorite character. She is a little taller,a little older, her face is a little to the long side, and she doesn’t look good in male clothing in my opinion (I have seen Eternal Love of Dream, she still looks like a girl). Also, I think she is better suited to play other badass female leads in other dramas.Li ChangGe is smart and cunning but at the same time, she is also helpless and desolate. They must have chosen her because she is Uyghur but believe me,Li ChangGe doesn’t look like her at all.She is pretty,yes.Talented,yes.But she’s not just Li ChangGe.I like Dilraba so much but sadly I like the fictional character ChangGe more. And I want someone better suited to play as her character.
