I highly recommend it if you enjoy realistic crime investigation dramas. The cases in the later episodes are even more thought-provoking and spark plenty of discussion.
I don't think word of honor is his best. I love him best in Legend of anle and flavour it's yours.
For modern dramas, I really enjoyed Gong Jun’s acting in The Truth. His reactions in the reunion scene at the pharmacy, in particular, feel completely natural and genuine, capturing the subtle emotions of the moment without ever feeling forced.

Gong Jun did an amazing job as Wen Kexing, which made both him and the drama popular. But what impresses me even more is his versatility—his later roles as Prince Han Ye in Legend of Anle and Dang Fong Yue Chu in Fox Spirit Matchmaker are completely different from Wen Kexing, and yet he makes each character entirely believable. In all three roles, you don’t see “Gong Jun” — you only see the characters themselves, brought to life with subtlety, depth, and authenticity. That’s the mark of a truly skilled actor.
A fan of Gong Jun....hmmm. The fact that Gong Jun a multimillionaire star with multiple hits and awards and a…
Gong Jun’s dramas often attract people with hidden agendas, who pretend to be fans or neutral viewers just to leave subtle jabs and backhanded criticism. They seem afraid that he will attract more viewers. 😏
I really appreciate realistic dramas, and The Truth stands out as a high-quality crime investigation series. Unlike many so-called Chinese “crime dramas,” which often either exaggerate heroism or fill the story with unnecessary romance, The Truth focuses on authenticity and procedural accuracy. What makes it truly immersive is that the lead characters actually feel like real police officers—focused, methodical, and human—rather than stylized heroes!
im always suspicious when the rating is so low but there aren't any bad reviews...like tell us whats wrong ....why…
The rating doesn’t do this series justice. You really have to watch it yourself to appreciate how good it is. Cases are typically resolved over 2–3 episodes, and each major case features a unique type of crime, covering a variety of methods, making the series truly exceptional.
