No that’s why I said I was glad he apologized. But people don’t have to forgive him just because he reflected on his past behavior. We are allowed to feel angry, hurt and disappointed.
There’s so many people on twt who invalide our feelings and experiences because they can’t accept or see his wrongdoings. It’s sad to see people acting like he’s the victim in this situation instead of acknowledging that what he did was wrong

Yes and i’m glad he did write an apology instead of ignoring it or brushing it off like it’s not a big deal. But to me it just didn’t really feel sincere. I do believe people can change and i don’t think he is the same build that he was years ago but stuff like this is still very disappointing and it really hurt me and many others

Had some time to think more about the whole Build situation and honestly i don’t think i’ll be able to look at him the same way again. It really doesn’t matter if it was 2, 8 or 10 years ago. He said what he said and his words can really affect women especially since we were even less appreciated and respected during that time. Just really shows how he views women. At first i was like ‘’people are weird for bringing this up’’ but now I’m kind of glad they did because i’m tired of blindly supporting someone when they said shit like this in the past. His words were extremely misogynistic and something about his apology rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it’s the ‘’i almost forgot about it’’. Like how can you forget being misogynistic?
I read that he apparently also said something about a year ago which just tells me that his apology doesn’t really come from his heart at all. It makes me so sad because i really wanted to support him but I have to stay true to my values especially as a woman. I can’t support someone who jokes about rape. My appreciation and love for someone simply can’t stand above respect for women and our rights. We go through so much shit and harassment just because we are women, we deserve better than this.

It’s creepy how they always bring up stuff from years ago. I’m glad Biu is adressing the issue and is holding himself accountable. I trust him and i believe he really grew from this and is sincerely apologizing. We all make mistakes
