I think him turning evil and deploying his army happened all in the same day. Otherwise QG might’ve been able to change things but she basically has no time.

I mean, he was tricked into becoming her disciple. There wasn’t much he could do about it. How was he supposed to see through her disguise?
And yeah, he shouldn’t have let his emotions get the best of him, but I can’t really blame him. He was abused and abandoned by everyone in his life. For the first time in years, he had found a home. Obviously it’s going to affect him if he thinks that the person he trusted completely and developed feelings for betrayed him and used him for her own gain. He only realized later that the ‘betrayal’ was actually her saving his life. Why wouldn’t he be sad?

I wouldn’t compare his and QG situation with a guy who killed his wife because some stupid princess told him to do so. The guy was just some pathetic weak loser. Different situations

Oh good point with FoF cause I was always confused abt what genre it is. It’s not really xianxia. The fighting feels more wuxia imo but that’s also not fitting since there is magic involved and it’s a fantasy show.
So yeah Ig Xuanhuan does fit best here. Thanksss

How do u differentiate between Xuanhuan and Xianxia when watching? From what I’ve heard ig Xuanhuan has magic (+ is has more western influence) and Xianxia additionally involves gods, demons, immortals etc?
I for the life of me can’t seem to apply the term Xuanhuan accurately when I try to classify dramas, I just lump them together atp💀🤚

I noticed that too in a couple of scenes. The kitchen scene in ep 8 sounded kinda weird sksks Like it kept switching between FL sounding like she was dubbed in a studio to side characters sounding like they used the original on set audio😭😭 idk what was going on there

I’m already missing QG and YS together. I love their backstory so much, I wish we got more eps of them😫 I’m excited for the present storyline tho
