Same. Xianxia is my fav followed by Wuxia. Sometimes even 40 eps seems too little with so much plot, fights (and magic). Plots are often repetitive but soo engaging. Itās rare that I fully enjoy a modern or historical one cause they drag so much and get boring fast. Tho I just finished Blossom and Iām gagged. The first time a historical drama had me SEATED and glued to the screen lmfaoo

I went into this with no expectations and ended up absolutely loving it. I donāt really enjoy historical dramas much and if I watch one I find myself skipping a lot of scenes but this one had me glued to the screen without skipping a single second. The acting and chemistry were fantastic, the cinematography was stunning, and the plot was incredibly engaging. I did find myself slightly less invested between episodes 28 and 32 (possibly due to lack of sleep cause I was binging this), but episode 33 pulled me right back in.
The leads truly have one of the most beautiful & authentic relationships Iāve seen in a C-drama. The way they love each other is so heartwarming and their characters were incredibly well-written. Every time they were on screen, I couldnāt help but smile. I absolutely loved how their relationship developed and thankfully there wasnāt any actual 2ML creating unnecessary drama because heās in love blah blah. There is so much trust and loyalty between the leads and they have such a special bond. I love that they actually COMMUNICATE and donāt let anyone or anything get between them.
Overall, itās a solid 10/10 for me. I donāt have any major complaints aside from the typical annoying side characters, but even that was handled well within the plot.
(Also thank god we got to see ML in his black fit again. I couldnāt stand that ugly red attire. All that was missing was his gray hair ksksk He looked stunning with it. In general ML as general Song Mo is such a crush)
