is A'Shu gonna be a problem in this drama— off the bat I find him rather sinister and seems to be one of the typical SMLs turning evil for a woman.

well depends mostly on you— none of the 2 seasons end on open endings, rather just hints that there'll be a continuation of it.It wrapped up in May, so maybe they'll release it around summer 2026 or even earlier as iQiyi know its a major drama I would say most expect cuz the reviews of the drama in China was well perceived

its lowkey ironic how he wanted to avenge them as if he's dad ain't the root cause of the massacre— but I don't blame it entirely on Bei Hai, it was also that Prince's fault for wanting to save face that he killed all the living in Haiya. Its lowkey a very interesting contrast between Kun and Ming. Yeah its interesting cuz Kun was never registered under the Haiya orphans, so they never really revealed why they were separated. I can't recall him showing any sign of him reacting in a way to the truth, but I suppose it was for the effect that we wouldn't be able to guess he's Yesha.

literally the BEST investigation drama you'll ever get— the team? awesome. the investigation? thee BEST. the horror/thriller vibe that is literally essential for these dramas? 100% there. Its such a good drama thats so underrated, its well written— the character development is evident, its not predictable. Its just everything you'd want from such a drama. Bonus that its a trilogy with S3 releasing sometime next year.

I was kinda spoiled cuz knowing myself I love reading comments, but yet it still didn't keep my shock hidden from him being Yesha, immediately the saying "your enemies are always near you", tho it was smart for it to go that way. He set out on the path of revenge, but we can all agree that he choose a very foolish way to do so, I'd understand the ruthless on the people who actually caused the mess, but to use the innocent like that is absurd for me.

you hit the nail on the head, cuz thats how I feel— tbh his reasons didn't really justify his actions for me, cuz how can you say you are avenging Haiya, yet is constantly using them as bait and not caring enough, just killing them off. He was just a selfish villain and the fact that he uses such an incident honestly makes me feel sick to the bone, as you said TS already died, so I felt no remorse for Bei Kun.

it's a rather shame he turned out to be Yesha, but nothing can be undone. That was one of the plot twists that had a heavy influence on the heart. It is as one of the members said TS already died in that earthquake. At least none of the others died tho, only the villain did and thats what I'm happy about.

lowkey direction of ep 1 almost threw me off the boat, cuz it wasn't produced nicely, but from ep 2 everything was absolutely brilliant, the case writing was smart and the fact it remained unpredictable until it was revealed to us, is a very good trait of a good investigation drama. It's a shame these types of drama are filmed once in a blue moon. Im excited for WXYs investigation drama,with BL— I'm so anticipating that one.

I highly anticipated this drama for quite a while— and it didn't disappoint a bit! this is so underrated atm, I binged so much for the first time in ages, lowkey wouldn't mind another season or 2. 🤣😭

seriously one of the best dramas this year— the best investigation drama of 2025, seriously not a single boring moment, props to the team! 🎊

I ABSOLUTELY dislike villains who think its okay to play around with innocent lifes just to get revenge, cuz what makes you different from the beasts that caused your suffering? same stitch, same ending.
