It's just, the miniscule chance of the murderer leaving anything behind is utterly destroyed by his recklessness. It may also just be my bias towards the actor - the only drama I've managed to watch with him in was "A Tree With Deep Roots"/"Deep Rooted Tree". I'm sad to miss a good villain story, I must admit, but I felt a lot of the drama was ruined by the male-lead.
I'll try and give the second season a chance! Thank you for the recommendation.

I do love a good villain and murder case, but it sure can't make up for the male-lead which we'll spend most time with (did watch The Girl Who Sees Smells for the murder and killer, despite everything else seeming rather weak compared to).
I'll try and check out season 2 and 3, then! Glad to know there's a new lead.

Generally, the male-lead gets over-emotional at the crime scenes and just walk all over them without any gloves or anything on - he completely ruins the crime scenes for any evidence, as far as I remember. I could not take it. I can't blame him for being over-emotional, but come on, why ruin the chances you've got at finding the murderer etc?
To be honest, I can't explain it in more details as it's been so long since I watched it and only watched about 3 episodes or something. I just know that whenever I think to watch it again, I immediately remember my distaste for it and my brain come up with "male-lead and his actions ruin it".

Didn't know about Noir, gotta check that one out!
Voice pisses me off in how they handle the crime scene and letting that buffoon of a male-lead walk all over it. Couldn't watch more than 1-3 episodes.
