Taecyeon has certainly found a role that is perfectly suited to him, in WooHyeol. This campy take on the vampire genre is right up my alley. I enjoyed watching him discover a small amount of a century's worth of societal changes in the short time he has been awake. I'm sure this will be prevalent throughout the drama and I'm looking forward to it.
Joo InHae has been met with a series of misfortunes, including the disappearance of her father. I'm very curious how this will tie into the storyline later. So far, her life seems to be in a state of upheaval. It will be interesting to see if she calms down after she adjusts to this new situation she has uncovered. Literally.
Browsing through the comments, I see lots of comparisons being made. I've not watched Business Proposal nor started SYIM19L. I suppose I'm glad of this fact, so I can enjoy King The Land without the baggage of other dramas to cloud my perspective.
What can I say? I'm enjoying the refreshing feeling I get while watching this well-off young man become acquainted with people. I feel how isolated he's been by the way he interacts with others. He is doing a wonderful job conveying his bewilderment at the new emotions he is experiencing. Especially the feelings Sarang is evoking in him. I'm looking forward to seeing how he grows as a person with her influence.
SangSik is a favorite of mine. Actually, I really adore his character. As GuWon's trusted man, he is bold enough to give it straight to his boss when he seems to be floundering. I enjoy the comedic moments he brings when he is on screen.
Sarang's personal battles showcase her vulnerable yet formidable side. She has a determination that is admirable. She is highly capable at her job and overcomes obstacles with jealous coworkers with her indomitable will and poise. Her girlfriends are tight knit and support one another, as they should. I am looking forward to seeing, if any, what changes GuWon might have on her in the future.
Overall, this drama is exactly what I hoped it would be. Relaxing and not over taxing.
2 episodes in and I'm with the majority that this drama is quite bland. Even the comedy is not giving. I guess…
I would be disappointed if Junho continually chose roles like TRS. It was an outstanding drama, but it was also emotionally draining. Even the actor said he went around with YiSan's sadness in his chest for months. I can't imagine the toll that takes. Lee Junho purposefully chose a lighthearted work for his next project. He can expand his acting chops in a different direction on his next project. I'm thankful he chose a more comedic role, because I appreciate the laughter.
But that is the point of the drama and the character progression? Every of these very flawed characters starts…
I really like your comment. I agree with all of your points. FL and ML have really been at their lowest in front of each other. Watching this slow progression between them is new and interesting to me.
Especially guys. They should take a crash course in being a gentleman and help a female coworker install those…
I would agree, however, in today's work environment, guys could also receive hate for offering to help a woman with her work. She was very adamant she could do the job. Changing the water cooler bottle was part of my responsibilities in a past job. It's not that bad. My current job requires the ability to lift up to 80lbs. Lift with the knees. :) However, she is a petite girl.
I really like it a lot to the point of regretting watching it before it's fully aired even though they drag some…
I couldn't disagree more. You don't even have to like the bf character in order to feel her total confusion, frustration and loss. She really made me empathize with her character. She thought she was secure in her relationship and future, only to have all of her plans derailed. It's taking her a while to assimilate after the breakup. As far as she knew, she was in a stable relationship with a very handsome, well off, considerate partner. And HCS gave every indication of such a man in the first episode. He might not be a loss for you, but for Deborah, she is devastated. And she made me believe she is devastated. I really enjoy their interactions.
ok preview of ep 5 and we see that ex again- yikes hope they don't drag that for toooo long wanna see ml and fl…
From the preview, it appears the ML and FL are still finding their way in their new single status. I don't mind a slow build up. It would be a little off putting if they were to jump into a new relationship so soon. However, I hope there is some type of growth between the 2 leads. I think the ex's of both leads will still pop up through the drama. It's not an issue for me since they were together for a while. I still want to see Mr. Chicken Prince beg her forgiveness.
If it annoys you that much you can easily just stop watching. Nobody forces you to do sth annoying. You better…
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's unfortunate when posting online, words or context and be misconstrued or misinterpreted. There are a lot of frustrating situations in this drama. I can see where a viewer can be annoyed at the character or how the character acts/interacts in the scene. However, like in the drama Deborah, there is also a herd mentality on social media, where people love to post opinions that are rather barbed or negative for no reason. Sometimes you just have to let it go. And sometimes you have to think about the people who will be reading your comments and rethink hitting the post button. The responsibility is on the poster.
HCS is not bad at acting, he's just not given the chance to showcase it. He really is typecasted in almost every…
HCS is doing just what the directors want him to do. Even in the behind the scenes that have been released, you can tell they are happy with his performance. The over the top and exaggerated reactions by him are what they are looking for. He's very good with his facial expressions. I am very interested to see if his character is repentant further in the script, when hopefully, Deborah starts getting herself back together.
You will need to decide the worth for yourself. All dramas have different value to the watcher. Generally, romcoms are superfluous with both the romance and the comedy. This drama hasn't deviated far from that format. I have been enjoying some of the more over the top performances in certain scenes. The ML and FL are still getting through their breakups at this point. The SML is doing his job well at directing viewer ire. I'm curious to see how all their characters navigate this quagmire. I would recommend it.
