El Temur and Empress Dowager finally agreed that Ki Nyang is really a terrible woman. Her reign of terror has kicked off with El Temur's execution.
According to historians, the real Empress Ki never served time for her terror. All they said she went missing. Perhaps during those finally years she was restoring Goreyo.
I wonder how the writers will explain it?
Does anyone know the historical facts on this drama?
I was commenting on more than one post. Sorry if it confused you. I am not a Korean, but I love watching historical dramas. This is the first drama I've seen where most of the cast play Mongolians. There are several cast members play Koreans in this drama, Wang Yu, his men, Ki Nyang, and her servants. About history, historians are supposed to write from an objective point of view. The writers for this drama are not historians. They have the freedom to be subjective. In the first episode I don't recall anyone mentioning Ki Nyang's lineage. They never said who her grandfather was. We only knew her father was a general. Like I implied before I watch a lot of historical dramas. I have always notice a common factor. If a main character spends their youth poor and spends their adult life connected to royalty. Somehow the character's ancestors were connected to royalty.
Am i the only one that loves Wang yu, but don't care about him not ending up with Nyang because she was supposed…
I want Wang Yu and Bi Soo to be together. Wang Yu's lust for Nyang just strengthen and he confused it with love. It's wishful thinking, but it is my wish about Wang Yu and Bi Soo.

If Mongolians wrote the drama, Empress Ki would be a murderous villanese. It should be no surprise that Empress Ki made their lives a living hell. The Regent's son hunted and killed her mother like an animal. Her father died in prison because of the emperor's lies. She hinted several times she will destroyed those people.
In the old Na Mi Rae's universe, her brother died. The parallel universe we saw the younger Na Mi Rae her brother was alive, got married, and named his son, Gun.
The reason why we did not see who see married because each different decision puts you in a different parallel universe. In one universe, Se Joo gives up his fortune and marries Na Mi Rae. In another parallel universe, Na Mi Rae marries Kim Shin. (My choice).
I like the entire drama because it wasn't just a romantic comedy. It was a romantic comedy using the parallel universe theory. Perhaps some of you forgot about that short conversation. When the time traveling host told her that she is no longer the same Na Mi Rae because she doesn't have the burn the younger Mi Rae has. That was my big clue that older Kim Shin existed in another universe.
Yes, you should watch it. I don't understand the negative reviews. So many people must have forgotten about the parallel universe theory. Na Mi Rae's and Kim Shin's choices put them in different universes. One were they are separate and miserable. One were they are together and miserable and childless. One were they appears to be happy, but have no one to love. One were they fall in love and have one child. There are others choices, too.
