Does anyone know if there is a novel about the story or if it’s an original story?

A review is objective and every statement is supported by strong analysis and comparison. This is an invettive by someone who clearly is against these actors and this production. It may be correct say so pointing out "First of all I don't like anything done by .... and this is not different".
This is not a fan club or an antifun club it's about intellectual honesty. Thank you for blocking me.

I'd like to make a consideration here. When I read a review I read something about the show and even more about who is writing. Some times I realise someone picks up the wrong cup of tea while some times who is writing loves so much the actors that can't see what's wrong with the series and so on. It's not easy to be unbiased.
Now I checked out the reviews because I thought this show, that's not my cup of tea because I don't usually like horror, was far more interesting than what I expected.
I found out the acting very convincing too expecially Pooh Krittin Kitjaruwannakul showing true fear in his eyes.
I honestly can't give a 10 but considering the story, the acting, the music and the rewatch value I think that everything between 7.5 to 8.5 is unbiased. One or two point more may be given by a fan, one or two point less may be given by an opponent but 1.0?
Who do you think can find it plausible?
This story has definitely nothing to do with Pit Babe. Some of the actors are the same but we know that the production is the same and actors too tend to be the same as in many Thai products.
I can't relate to many of the few thing listed in the short invective.

I don't want to talk about toxic fandom, greedy managment or whatever. I'm talking as long time fan of the story, I read the manga, seen the anime and was quite skeptical with a live action series when it was announced becouse many things may go wrong in a story like this.
They made a micacle producing a TOP product and did it getting together Asia: the story is japanese, the opening song is Korean , Chinese are involved and the product is Thai while the success is GLOBAL!
Now considering the effect that this could have on the future cooperations I thought that all the part involved should have been TRUSTWORTHY.
Of course we don't know what append and so on but you know what, I don't care, I think this is just a bad bad example of how a single part (I honestly can't say which) involved in and international projects can ruin not only many efforts but an exemple of what can be realised with joint forces.
My only concern at the moment is that the original intent of the manga will be respected and I suggest to include in the future projects clear fair contracts and huge penalties for the main leads withdrawal from sequel.
This has nothing to do with wanting to see the same couple on a different project, or toxic fandom, in this case, and personally, I don't like to see so many efforts spent on a story that I loved way before the arrive of this series go wasted or worse, leave a bad aftertaste for a bad future development of the manga characters I love. This is about respect.

Since you read the novel can you explain, if it's even possible, Sorn (asshole cough) behaviour and Jun twisted sense of learning or even his feelings?
Is he just a confused nympho or is more in focus as character in the novel?
I was very curious about what the story is about (smut apart). Sometimes to condense the story things that may better define the characters and their choices get lost ... in this case they just get lust...

I do agree with everything apart from the 2025 thing ... I'm bored with the politically correct policy I believe in respecting the original work at least in delivering the mood ... When I watched Smell Like Green Spirit (from a 2011 manga I read) I saw the disclaimer "this fictional drama is set in the 1990s and contains autdated language that may be deemed inappropriate today" and I felt old (╥﹏╥). I think that it's important to show respect without being too formal, give some freedom in the story telling since is fictional giving, of course, the right age rating. ❤

I'm reading the manga Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu since the first release, and watched the anime released till now so I was very curious to se the Thai live action and ... I'm totally captivated.
I simply loved it and yes I need more.
The transformation made by Smart to become Jin (Azumaya) is impressive and his and Boom acting is really "Top Form", I love the way they are directed and the fact the original story and emotions conveyed are enhanced!
Just one more thing ... While watching I was thinking ... why this two can also be Iwaki and Katou from Haru o Daiteita (Embracin Love) in the future? I'd love that ❤ with a differet end please

As I said we can discuss what show can be suitable for a certain audience ... and in this story we are not talking about improper sexual behaviour and in many ways I can't see any improper behaviour in the characters just a plot that is needed ... probably any person as his sensibility ... I feel in this specific case this kind of judgment it's not only over the top, but most of all self-righteous. I respect every opinion I hope you'll do the same. By the way my teenaged doughter had no problem in comprehending the plot and understand the difference between truth and fiction not only in this story ... love and peace

A fiction is just entertainment. Family, society, educational system are what should built a moral compass and a critical view on the world around the younger and more vulnerable.
Idol (that are not items but young people in even more need of guide and protection ) and showbusiness (not the characters they play) are part of inspiration for better or worse but it can be the only reference a young person should have.
So a fiction is just entertainment. And I don't need to know who can be influenced becouse there should be a social network that gives people enough straight and values to differentiate.

Thank you all for the info ... I'm european so logic in this kind of thing is very very different. I'd like to say that you should have the right cast, not the most famous, but I'm most grateful for the struggle in making Hidden Love: music is just perfect and so is everything else. I think the passion and the fact that the production came together by knowing each other made the magic. Rating the actors as objects is out of my way of thinking and my personal values, nor I can comprehend idols phenomenon...

Reading many reactions I think not everyone realises it ... if you have a plot characters need a certain behaviour to sustain the writer idea ...

I was so waiting for this since the end of Hidden Love...
I read the novel but as I always state it's irrelevant to the series or at least it should always be.
I'm watching it on Netflix from Europe so I'm at middle of the story, and I didn't want to be biased one way or another. I was sort of disappointed waiting for the release because I was expecting Victor Ma to be Sang Yang but I guess that was difficult to have Zhao Lu Si and Chen Zhe Yuan for a cameo so I do understand the choice.
First of all I have to say that I have never seen Bai Jing Ting so enhanced in his look and character coolness before (I've only have seen him in "You are my hero" and "Destined"), but this is a personal consideration.
As personal is the fact that I don't think the soundtrack is outstanding but only good enough.
Objectivly speaking I think the series is very well done, I like the way are used the flash backs and the way the relationship between the main characters have been built during the years.
As last observation I may say that when the Sang children fall for someone ... love forever, high and low and probably, sister and brother have similar tastes . ; )

I may say that even in the novel I had the same feeling you are having.
In Hidden Love he actually talks about the girls trying to woo him all the time it's the only hint that we have, but the story is about two other characters.
I think that his character is more or less the same but changes with the environment as a brother or son is somewhat different with the girl he is in love with.
I was just expecting Sang Yan more cheeky and outgoing at least with his friends, but I think that he is overprotective of Wen Yi Fan ... so when he is with her he is walking on eggshells.

Speaking about the plot he was biased while trying to use the facts to prove she was not a witch.
But studing the facts he realised that all the accidents are really related to Mi Jeong.
It doesn't mean she is a witch it means that things are happening around her.
Infact he is looking for the rules about the events in order to understand ...

I think it's really intriguing and really cool the way the show lead us in the theory Lee Dong-jin elaborated. I mean in that moment we are wondering if she will see him on the windows while the meaning of her moving towards him is to shorten the distance and give us a proof ! I loved it ... we also got to know that he is romantically interested in her since is one of the five requirements.
