These negative reactions were somehow foreseeable. With so many promising leads (and specially wxy after The Double mega success) a lot of ppl was rooting for the failure of this drama. Unfortunately it’s human nature to want the “competition” to fail instead of only wishing for your favs to succeed.
Well, they were wrong and Perfect Match, such a low key drama filmed when all the leads were mildly successful, is a success both in China and internationally !!!
Giving it a 1 star review after only 4/6 episodes out of 36 gives you away as a hater!

For everyone looking to watch it: don’t mind the comments. Go ahead and watch it. A drama that generates this many comments in just 5 days it’s worth the time! Definitely worth of your time. In the end you may like it or not but you will never have wasted your time!

I’m loving this so much.
I’m a WXY hard stan but bc of that I also tend to be super critical of everything relating him (omg I’m feeling like a super tiger mom….. 😱🤣) and the beginning of Perfect Match had me doubtful. The script kept giving me the “too small” vibes. Not good enough vibes. The production was somehow poor and the men all behaved in awkward ways.
I also knew this was ment to have solid redemption arcs so I kept waiting for the turnover! And it came!!!!
Ep 9 got me crying (really) bc he was such a conceited fool and reality slapped him in the face. Good for him. He needed it. He has a solid upbringing and he is fundamentally good but the prejudice and presumption run wild in his family!
Ep 10 gave me lots of comfort. They are both 2 of a kind. Ment to be together. They are equals and that’s what made them fall for each other. The “I-know-what-you’re-scheming-and-I-see-you. I’ll-do-you-worse-if-possible” vibes. But at the same time acknowledging and respecting their counterpart’s intelligence and wit. Acknowledging the one that is equals. That’s really amazing and I think the writer(s) did it well. And this is the same team from “Yanxi Palace”! Give them credit.

Now lets all wait for the other sisters stories development!!!

Final note to Wxy slightly opened scrumptious lips before kissing. I’m not well…
