A lot of this explore marital ties. women are prisoners of beauty because it turns them into pawns for men's politics. However, men are prisoners of beauty because look at how the lord of Wei gets married and the difference that makes.

cast? stunningacting? so good especially the king omgaesthetics? ugh yes. the DRIP. and the intro was gorgeousoverall this was just the perfect mix of historical aesthetics and fantasy romance that I needed. I have also not hated a villian that much in so long omg the guys voice started to make me so mad hahaha. if youre wondering if this is overrated like I was, just watch it. I loved it myself

other than a couple of minor pacing issued this was everything I needed right now

I mean, there's plot holes and it drags at times. However I love more fantasy in BL and I definitely want to see more of this pairing!

100%. BL is what i grew up on as a queer person with only that as any alternative relationship representation. However, a lot of BL has toxicity,fetishism and was exclusive in its own way. I don't think BL needs to go but seeing it evolve and seeing it pave the way for more inclusive stories to slowly make their way through is defo positive.

this is less BL and more an overall LGBTQ+ coming of age and exploration of friendship. its beautiful. I feel the lower ratings likely come from people expecting a traditional BL storyline so u may find parts of this surprising if you're looking for that. however if ur LGBTQ+ I think you'll appreciate it and it's beautifully done

I'm not sure about how the represented the "treatment" for intersex people. however I am not intersex myself so I can't comment much. it's good to see some representation though even if it starts a bit iffy it's in a positive light that hopefully can lead to more and more representation

it took a monster for me to veg into it due to the plot twists being laid out but what a show! There MUST be a season 2

nah give it a minute trust me its just establishing itself. I just finished and loved it but took me 2 eps rhen I was hooked completely
