I mean it was clear that Joker had a past in episode 1. he was notorious and on the news for various robberies and then he scammed and robbed a bank. He turned himself in he wasn't caught for that, he nearly scammed the boss save for Jack and will likely do more that proves it. he's also been shown to be good at defending himself and being sneaky. my guess on how he knew where Jack was is that he didn't hence why he was asking around. he went to their older neighbourhood and got lucky and it seemed he'd been looking a while.
I just don't think the plot holes are that big and it's only episode 2 sometimes I feel like people say there's plot holes when actually you just need a bit of inference u dont need to see everything hahaha. I mean yes it's got its limitations but it's ep 2 on a unique BL I'd say give it a chance before picking it apart so much and just try and enjoy it 🤷♀️ or just don't watch it obvs but I feel some of your picking is a bit harsh especially for a 2nd episode only
