At first glance it’s an incredibly interesting story line, but slightly disappointed with the erosion of the…
It feels like you have skipped some scenes or have watched something different than what I have. The FL has an immense character growth which isn't always 180 degree of personality change, it's the micro elements that matter. She was brave, courageous and intelligent from start to end doesn't mean her character was stagnant. A lot changed for her, from caring for only herself to caring for all. She saw the world rotten by war around her, lost people, lost herself. The circumstances inside her and outside brought a change. She started relying, discussing with others. All the action happening around her didn't let her breath or think but when she met Taoists, things finally set in for her. The temple gave her space to think. The biggest part of her growth is that she left her aim to revenge behind her. As Sun said, nothing can be simply explained by words, there are a lot of complicated emotions involved. From revenge against one to peace for all, she crossed miles. Character growth and out of personality are two different things. One pops out of good writing while the other from bad writing. And if only physical touch defines romance so yeah there was no romance at all. If love is limited to only that then let it be. From ep 1-49, I've loved every character. You can see grey shades in each one of them. Doesn't matter if you hate them or love them but you surely end up emphasising with them. There wasn't an episode which felt draggy to me. Each scene fits the other like a puzzle. You always get to learn some or the other information from every scene. It's the most gripping narrative I've seen recently. The Manhua scenes inbetween add to the beauty of it. Things are complicated in this drama, be it emotions, charcters or circumstances. World isn't defined by binaries. There's whole lot in between things which for me has been explored in this drama making it layered. And layers are only visible when you focus and sometimes more than once.
Lockdown has indeed affected people's judgement. I'm in total agreement here.
For episode 48, after Mimi dies in Mu Jin's arms and CG is devastated, Ah Sun walks up to her with a completely…
He was shocked himself, it seemed like everything shut down for him as well then he looked at Changge, went to her tenderly. I've watched that scene only not the whole episode. I'll get back to you once I watch it lol
