Well said! 👏🏻. A well written story from start to end is my bias. I lowered my expectations way down desperate for a HE. I was satisfied because we got it. The ending could have been better yes but the one thing I thought the writers did well , Qing & Chu’s characters stayed authentic from beginning to end. We didn’t have stupid out of character tropes . They’ve become one of my favorite romantic couples .

His character slayed , the cold exterior, those piercing eyes , his swagger & his unrelenting determination to get what he wants & knowing exactly what to do to get it, was irresistible. Then his whole heart opened up to her. His unconditional love , his all consuming passion & emotional feelings and he embraced them all . The actor Ding XeRen gave a mesmerizing performance.
I agree the ending was not enough for us! The scene could have gone at least a little longer beyond Qing’s look of confusion. I’ll take anything, extra episode, Season 2?
