I'm on Episode 13 and loving this drama! I heard it is based on a novel by the same author who wrote Ever Night which is one of my favorite dramas. I just want to thank all of you for covering the spoilers, much appreciated from one who wants to enjoy the drama as it unfolds.

In the US, the actors do what we call ADR work (Automated Dialog Replacement) when requested by an editor to replace their dialogue in a recording studio , which for an expensive actor can cost a lot of money. And it must be a typical & acceptable situation in China, accomplished actors here would never accept being dubbed, they would be insulted. Can you tell me if Arthur Chen was dubbed? I liked his voice in Ever Night.

That's what I thought. Why do they do that? I heard the cast was dubbed in Meteor Garden too. Is it because he has a weird voice? I know he sings so it cannot be that bad. Are the rest of the cast are dubbed too? I also know the two main leads inThe Untamed were dubbed too with top of the line Chinese voice actors. And we know Xian Zhan has a great voice, I've also heard him in interviews. Don't get it, it is not done in the United States.

The credits for both are the same writer and director so that is good because they both did a great job with Season 1.
Thank you for sharing about the novel -- now I am excited, it does sound epic! I am looking forward to experiencing the angst and challenges ahead for NQ & SS! What are the censorship issues? I am not familiar with the issues except for the censorship in the BL dramas like The Untamed & Guardian. Is it the violence or the love /physical relationship?

I downloaded the WeTv to my iphone and ipad and then set up a login with my phone number and a password. Then yesterday after I watched all the free episodes I upgrade to VIP for $5.99 a month. I will cancel after the show airs. That is how I finished watching The Untamed! I got too impatient waiting for Viki. Or it looks like you can use Southside's link above, it worked for me.

A lot of the returning characters have significant plot and character development in Season 1 that you 'll be missing.

Definitely a different tone! I was trying to imagine if this was all one season , the difference would have been criticized for it's inconsistency to the rest of the drama. Is it a different screenwriter who adapted the season 2? How much are they following the book so far? The story is not flowing, it's a lot more conversation that seems explanatory rather than letting the actions and development of the characters to move the story along.

No kidding! I was searching for a release date less than three days ago and nothing. Announcement came like the day before?!? Is this normal for Chinese dramas?

I miss Arthur Chen's NQ! - his brashness and cockiness . Dylan Wang is good, I loved him in Meteor Garden but he does not capture that same crazy & mischievous energy that Arthur had. I really wonder the real reason Arthur had to move on, he left a deep sorrow in my heart. I wish the production had him sign a contract that included the sequels, for the main leads that should have been a deal breaker.

First two episodes are on We TV APP . I ended paying for VIP to get more six episodes total.

I just discovered Joy of Life yesterday! I am loving it--all of the characters & the humor and how the writer character put himself into the drama and inserting future literature and inventions into the story! And thank you for the suggestions: My Mister and Chief Kim are on my plan to watch list and I will check out Goodbye My Princess.

LOL, great response!! Going to be the longest week of my life! I should wait out the episodes until they finish it then binge watch but is impossible at this point. This is the First drama ever To put me in this amount of agony. These next three months are going to be hard. Can anyone recommend a completed drama that is good enough to take my mind off this drama ?

Holy Shit! Just finished watching Episode 58! This drama is awesome! 100 episodes enables this story to unravel with heavy investment from the viewers. I am totally invested in this drama. I will be sad when the 100th episode airs. This drama is going to a hard act to follow.

I second that! I think HIS mother will be thrilled and happy for their relationship. Butt out sister and mother of Cheong Ah.

Seol In Ah and Kim Jae Young romance is now my top OTP. I love the longer episode count to develop their relationship naturally, it is a beautiful love. Just wish they spent more time on them than the other two. I feel like they getting far less time than her sister's story. Hope my favs have more time in the second half.

Total cop out of an ending, rushed and unnecessary plot line. But I love the rest of it so much . I re watch up to the part of the last conflict. My happy ending is there at that stopping point.
