thank you! I was wondering about the significance of the tree and why 100,000. That's pretty major stuff, although she did not do it on purpose. Great explanation.
Good so far! Like the vibe its got going. I started it because it seemed interesting and cause of Choi Won Young.…
Same here, so glad to see Choi Won Young as a main lead! He was so good in Hello Monster, Kill Me Heal Me, Heirs, Hyena. He is a versatile actor with major talent.

Xiao Zhan plays a supporting character in Joy of Life. He does not appear until Episode 38 and his character is very serious compared to Wei Ying. He sings from what I remember. the closing song which is beautiful. I started watching because of Xiao and the writer is the same novelist who wrote Ever Night. I came to love this drama because of the very charismatic acting from the main lead and the great story. Can't wait for season 2 which will also have Xiao Zhan ''s character (I hope he will be available to shoot it).
Thank you for this article!!! I am not a wordsmith. Your words reflect perfectly the deep emotions I feel about this drama and make me feel them all over again. I want to read your article again and again .This is not only the best drama I ever watched, it was a main event in my life and it is seared into my heart forever. It is not possible to go over the top about The Untamed, you unleashed your feelings and thoughts without restraint, I love it! I'm going to read your article again right now :D
I am on episode 23 and feel the same way. I thought it would get boring with 48 episodes of different cases to solve, but each case is more interesting than the previous and I love the character development and friendships. I will be sad when it ends. Hope there is a season 2.
BTW, I loved Welcome 2 Life! The drama also introduced me to Rain. I see now why he is a superstar. His intensity and charisma shows very strongly on screen.
Shin Jae Ha is featured in VIP as a very sweet and supportive co worker to the FL, Jang Nara. He probably has an unrequited crush on her. You definitely get to see his cute self. I saw Welcome 2 Life first and when I saw him in VIP, I know him! He has very distinctive features, very cute.
For all those talking of lack of chemistry try to see the last 10 mins of ep 4. Its blazing hot.
OMG. I love the way he cherishes her , it is so beautiful. He doesn't even consider the consequences of bringing her back with him. He just wants to be with her, it is as simple as that. I love everything about this show, the actors, the story and the gorgeous cinematography & production design, the music. I know I'm gushing but I can't help it. I've only seen him in Heirs, there is such a sweetness about him. And I love her too, she glows as she did in Goblin.
I read a comment in Evernight 2 that Arthur Chen was replaced by the producers, that they wanted to give the part…
When I was obsessed with Ever Night and read whatever I could find: I read that the director did not cast him based on his famous lineage but for his audition. She said she thought he had the confidence and swagger to pull off this role and was not intimidated by the process. (I'm paraphrasing.) Of course later, it came out that he was the son of the famous director Chen Kaige. And then when I read the that he was recast for Ever Night 2 to everyone's sorrow , I read that it was due to scheduling conflict with Legend of Awakening. But Ever Night did not start filming until January 2019 and Legend of Awakening filming ended January 2019. Honestly, I think Arthur Chen was worth the wait. I could not understand why he would turn down such an epic role that made him famous. There was one film, a high school drama My Best Summer that was released after Ever Night which I cannot find anywhere with Eng Subs. And then I read that comment on this site on Ever Night 2 comment section that it was the producers' decision to recast. I am not sure how much truth and a source was not listed but I believe it based on how small his presence has been since Ever Night compared to let's say the The Untamed actors. Acknowledging that The Untamed was a huger success but I know we all feel Ever Night was a great success too in large part because of how he killed it in his portrayal to Ninq Que to where we could not imagine anyone else playing him. And that we all agree after, trying to watch Ever Night 2. I tried to watch it and I like Dylan Wang when I watched Meteor Garden and he is good actor but it is not the same, his take on Ninq Que is very different and I miss Arthur Chen's swagger and charm.
I wonder why arthur chen let go of his character as ning que and choose this drama. Ning que character is cool-blooded…
I read a comment in Evernight 2 that Arthur Chen was replaced by the producers, that they wanted to give the part to Dylan Wang who they thought was a bigger name. Not sure how true this is but that might explain why we haven't seen Arthur Chen. If he was thought to be the hot new actor (eg Xhao Xhan) we'd have seen him all over the place. He is a hot actor to me. He made this drama right after Evernight, not sure why they held on to it so long to release it. It has been on My Plan to Watch list forever,
I secretly want a 2nd season where So Jin is the evil one ;)at the end of the day this drama had a great moral…
You're right, that would much too boring for another season, lol. And story wise, she still has the whole evil spirit in her now. Season 2 or 3 can take her to her happy ending. Are we getting a season 2? I have not seen any news yet on that.
I secretly want a 2nd season where So Jin is the evil one ;)at the end of the day this drama had a great moral…
I want to see So Jin live a normal life without the torment she's experienced so far. After her sacrifice to save the world from the Forest, she deserves some happiness. She could go to college and on her breaks, stay with Jin Hee and her husband.
Just finished Ep 96, she looks like she is going to say No. She can't! I've been waiting 90 plus episodes for…
I have to take back my words about Jin Woo ending up with Seoh Ah. I want the writer to stay true to her story. I forget this is a melodrama. BUT NOT the main couple! Cheong Ah & Joon Hwi have to be together at the end!!!! I will be so sad if writer goes melo all the way.
Not her, but the writer to be precise. I've never seen any love triangle being dragged for this long, it's insane.…
i am so torn. You make a very valid argument. I saw what happened to Park Hae Jin's character in Cheese In the Trap and it was very wrong to go with popular opinion even though I fell in love with Seo Kang Joon along with everyone else. You convinced me to shut my trap.
Just finished Ep 96, she looks like she is going to say No. She can't! I've been waiting 90 plus episodes for this moment. Hope they resolve it by Ep 100! And did the writer change the ending? In the drama picture, it shows Taerang but I am hoping with bated breath that Seoh Ah will choose Jin Woo. He has had such incredible character growth and is way less boring. This is my last anxious waiting period.... next week this drama will be ending. Cross my fingers that all will be resolved in happy endings for the two couples I would like to see together. I don't want to be crying sad tears next week, only happy tears.
