I agree, I started watching nothing but Asian dramas about 5 years ago and find the culture beautiful. I actually started with KDramas which ultimately led to CDramas. Now, 99% of what I watch are CDramas. It proves that you can make drama which can be tastefully done without all the minutia. I dont believe that the current state of propaganda can be solely isolated to only China. Living in the US at this current moment proves that.

Thank you so much for your kind response. I am glad to hear it! After a year, sometimes I’ll just rewatch the first season so that the remaining episodes can fully grasp the story and it flows seamlessly.

I noticed there are 48 episodes. Based on China’s new changes last year limiting dramas to 40 episodes and then waiting one year until the rest can be released makes me wonder if we will get to see all episodes this year. Does anyone know if there was an exception for this drama?

Review The Guilty
I agree with you wholeheartedly! I believe the film accurately portrays the deep sorrow and angst that one goes through after such a traumatic experience. It is profoundly sad to watch as a once vibrant girl becomes so sullen and basically seems to just go through the motions of life, having had to endure a traumatic experience. The bond of love and friendship between the three is beautiful. I am only on episode 6 and plan to binge watch today. At this point, only 10 episodes have been released. Thank you for your review, it’s dead on! I too, love the cinematography, which really makes you feel entrenched in the story and characters therein. So far, the story moves at a pace that keeps you intently watching to see how things unfold. I think they’ve done a good job intertwining the flashbacks to the present to move the story along so that viewers aren’t confused. I just finished the series and I agree, it deserves a 10. Actually, only the second series that I’ve ever given a 10 to. It’s a masterclass in filmmaking, acting and storytelling.
