If she doesn't put up a show as the CP, she will die as well as everyone involved with her. This was emphasized in Episode 2 (if I'm not mistaken). Her very existence will still haunt her even if she's not the CP because she will be on a run for the rest of her life.

Oh same here! Currently watching Lovers of The Red Sky because of the director too xD Some of the soundtracks especially during the painting scene in Lovers of The Red Sky were used back from Painter. Brings back the nostalgic moment.

The last saeguk with gender bender element I've watched was The Painter of The Wind and I have to say it bears the similarities where the FL has to disguise as a male in order to survive especially during that era for women. Hoping the best for this drama. The first 2 episodes were already captivating and what more strong performances by the main child actress and the rest of the casts!

From the looks of it, I think it has that potential to become a complicated love triangle indeed. On a side note, the love triangle you described is almost similar to this one drama called Painter of The Wind and the FL has to pretend to be a man in order to survive!

There was a close-up scene of YY 's bloody legs on the street during the flashback and that was why I assumed that YY lost her baby... Still unsure about this tho.

Was YY pregnant during the time when ZH and Bai accidentally hit her in the past? Because if I'm not mistaken Bai said something about her losing her baby at the hospital.

Yeah I thought it was strange that they used "satan" instead of "demon"
