I found this while reading the reviews for Moving, as Ryu Seung Ryong was running a chicken joint in that one too. The cast was great, I especially liked Miss Korea (Lee Ha Nee) and Jang Jin Hee. Mr. Ma (Jin Seon Kyu) was great too, as well as Ryu Seung Ryong. The comedy was great, without being too corny. There was definitely a bit of action too. LOL.
The opening was killer, I had to rewatch it a few times. The rest was not so great, I wanted more backstory of the friends. It was basically a bunch of action clips strung together. I thought the OST was great and I'm not a music fan. The acting was good, especially Jong Jong-Seo, I just wanted to see more of her. The later fight scenes were OK, but a little derivative. The final scene was a nice touch.
I am on the 4 episode and getting irritated becoZ of FL stupidity n ML attitude towards FL.I am planning on dropping…
Yeah, I am not a fan of this series, I dislike anything that portrays the FL as weak/idiot. But the mystery definitely got intriguing later in the series. I noticed in episode 15 that BYB doesn't sound like a 10 yo anymore. Almost makes me think they were playing with her audio earlier.
I avoided HPL for quite a while, but I binged it while watching Behind Your Touch, another one to avoid. HPL is now one of my favourite Dramas, also a slice of life Drama. It was so mature compared to anything else I've seen. No cringey characters, except the one mother perhaps.
I found the older sister annoying. I don't get the 10 reviews for this thing, even IMDB gave it good reviews. Our of curiosity, what were your thoughts on Hospital Playlist?
When someone is trying to kill you and you have them down, you keep beating them until they are no longer a threat. But…
That's part of the problem with this series and others, the way they portray women as weak or stupid. Ye Bun had the killer down when she hit him with the motorcycle helmet, all she had to do was finish the job.As someone else mentioned, the scene with the bus was equally stupid. All she had to do was lead them back to the killer, as there is safety in numbers. Although, it was probably too late by then.
This series had such potential, but they had to make it an absolute farce, with all of the Corn and bad writing.
It's not so much about the genre, as the specific content. My viewing tends to be all over the place, I tend to watch a lot of romance because they outnumber everything else and the eye candy is nice. I just finished Broker and Dream, strange that they both had IU. She seems much better in dramatic roles, I really enjoyed Broker.
Violent action is a favourite of course, especially girl revenge dramas like My Name, No Mercy, The Man from Nowhere, The Witch Part 1 and Little Girl K.
I do like supernatural, like all of us are dead, tomorrow, sweet home, and a few others I can't remember right now.
Annoying FL, unbearable, made the drama worse for me.Though if you want to watch, stop at episode 11. Korean writers…
I thought both leads were excellent in portraying their issues. Considering what the FL endured, I can understand her behaviour and thought the actress expressed it quite well.
I was not happy with the ending, but I understand why the FL lead may have acted this way. Although I would like to have seen a more complete ending.
Watching Episode 3, mostly playing with my phone actually. Like a lot of people I was tempted to turn it off after the opening scene, it was so hokey. I'm more about the story than the CGI, so I stuck with it. Sadly my initial reaction was correct, too bad it apparently gets worse, I won't be here to find out.
The acting is somewhat underwhelming, although I was a little invested in the cop's daughter and the lawyer. I think I'll just read the spoilers and go watch something happy.
I've watched a few corny K-Dramas like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Psychokinesis; I really liked the main character in SWDBS, but the supporting characters ("comedy") was just so bad. I couldn't even finish Vincenzo it was so bad. My point is I'm not completely averse to a little corn, I was more turned off by the toxic nature of this drama. If I want to see toxic people, I can go to work or watch the news. This applies to the criminals and the religious rubberneckers. As others have mentioned the absolute justice handed out for 'moral' crimes was disturbing and a little intentionally absurd.
I think this is meant to be more of a message drama about the evil people do, especially the self righteous (stating the obvious) more than a horror drama. I REALLY dislike message pictures, and delivering the message with a sledgehammer and a large dose of corn does not help. I'm off to find something Happy.
I've only watched 8 episodes so far, and I seriously considered dropping it. SMA is the only reason to watch this.
There are so many toxic characters in this, especially the two male leads. The supporting characters are just cringeworthy, especially the Director and the Aunt. I know they are trying to build tension, but Meh.
I'd rather watch Hometown Cha Cha Cha again, where the village people were a great supporting cast
This is definitely worth a rewatch.

But if it weren't for the stupidity these shows wouldn't be 16 episodes.

She is basically a narcissist and he lets himself be a doormat. He saw her crying when he left for the military and he didn't act?
The one thing we can agree on is that I would like to have them seen them spend more time together at the end.
I really liked Han So Hee in My Name, but I could not watch Nevertheless. Hopefully she'll get some meaty rolls in the future.
