true this movie is not flowery love by any means ... but it is refreshing to see something that manifests the tragedy of love and life in a realistic sense over love conquers all ( that is rarely the case ). Obsession is not love true ... and through Jades obsession with Takeko you can see that unconditional love does not truly exist .. love always has one ultimate condition ... it's being returned. Without out that like a flower without rain it wither's and dies. I enjoyed this Movie thoroughly from start to finish, the writing was superb the casting excellent and the actors did an exceptional job of portraying their characters. I will at some point re-watch this movie for those very reasons !!
