to each his own, but he had to know Masumi thought they would be monogamous as Masumi seems very naive. The scene where Ritsu ditches the girl to go with Masumi makes me think Masumi felt "chosen" rather than just one amongst many. That scene showed Ritsu's indifference toward the girl whoch seemed narcissistic to me.

I just made it to the 5 minute mark in ep. 1 and am already lmao at the ridiculousness of the in-line skating fall into a kiss scene! I will watch this for pure entertainment and laughs, because some of these actors are not newbies, but the production quality is so low.

Watching the prequels will not spoil The Promise because it happens in the present time. The prequels give the back story, which might give you more insight. It may also lead you to question the present events.

they really aren't that fresh. Watch "What Zabb Man!" and you will see some of them. It was not great, though.

I agree! Just like the special episode prequel to Check Out, which was so deep and emotional, but led to the let down of the actual series.

I really was disappointed at how easy their "reunion" was. I wanted more depth, challenge, and answers before they got back to being "besties".

Did you watch the prequels? They were literally heart breaking and nothing like this series at all.

I am not sure how this developed out of the heart wrenching prequel, but now it is like a comedy series and I am very disappointed. I wanted more depth and answers to the 10 year disappearance, but it really has been glossed over as if it never happened. All of a sudden they are "besties" again as if nothing happened. The flash backs don't seem to be too relevant to moving the story forward and almost seem to drag it backward.

The storyline of the GL characters in Warp Effect is significant. All of the character couples (BL, GL, and hetero) are significant to the storyline. I think there are a lot of couples, but the screentime for each couple is very good. I really liked it. It was funny, heartbreaking, and uplifting all in one series.

I don't know why, but I am actually enjoying seeing the neighborhood friends get together and eat, take care of each other, and get along. It isn't very fast moving, and I still can't figure out the plot or conflict, but so far it is kind of cute and fluffy.

When I realized that the instrumental music to episodes 11 & 12 was Beautiful by Day 6, I approved. It was 12 minutes to pass the time and kind of cute. I actually liked The Tuxedo. The agoraphobia plot was new.

I was wondering that too, but by the way his "bestie" was talking about him, I guess he wasn't a great guy and nobody missed him.
