I am not convinced with your answer. How many times have you seen dramas, where family members are sobbing by the bedside, as they turn the life support machine off? Even in RL. People decided to turn the life support machine off all the time. I've looked up various laws, but it seems to be more an ethical dilemma than a civil one.
