Although we didn't directly see it, DHS's mom is dead, her corpse was in fact found. Normally when serial killers…
Makes sense! I binged all 13 within last few days, but there's so much info, I wouldn't be surprised if I missed any. Thanks for confirming indeed she was a bag of bones. You caught onto the little clues there.

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
The way I understood it, Yeom Sang Chul was called by Baek Man Woo to send him over at 10pm, but his serial killer…
Agreed. They suspect Baek Man Woo at that point, why turn up so brazenly like that. Do they think he'll confess on the spot. A bit arrogant or foolish way to approach the situation.

That said this drama is a solid 8 or 8.5/10 for me.
The acting is great (with the leads especially, despite questionable lapses of judgement), a special shout-out to the principal photography and directing team. The writer has also done a good job creating a well connected plot. Almost (definitely) to the point of convenience, but I still appreciate the effort.
The accomplice was nicely revealed, though a bit bog-standard in how written.
What else?
Good drama, hope it finishes strong!!

I'm not the biggest fan of the soundtrack in this drama, but don't totally hate it. It's used as a mood-setter, often giving the game away before anything has even happened O.O It turns uninteresting scenes into "super charged" scenes. So it's doing it's job, but not a fan. However it's better than watching uninteresting scenes, and leaving them as uninteresting scenes LOL

The last few episodes have shown Hyun Soo and Ji Won making some really questionable/dumb decisions. Firstly,…
The way I understood it, Yeom Sang Chul was called by Baek Man Woo to send him over at 10pm, but his serial killer son stopped him because he sensed it was a trap (this was before Hyun Soo and Ji Won even turned up at the door).
How he sensed it? Well that's the mystery to me.

Wow, how did you catch all this info?
DMS killed his wife, I thought she run away
And how did you catch the link about the women. I thought some of the victims were men too O.o

Some thoughts on ep 4, it’s fine if you disagree. +Opening scene pretty gorgeous. There were several jaw-breaking…
Overall, great comment!

Villain was lead of 2007 drama 9 end and 2 outs, and he looks soooo young
Then by 2012, got a more mature look.
He looks both his age and 60 at the same time, but there's no denying THE MAN IS FINE. Even his wife, or whoever she is sobbing her heart out with how fine he is

HAHA. I love your mention of her tying her hair up becoming a PLOT POINT
LOL, this writer sensed our ire
A lot of those scenes look filmed with a drone. Top of the head filmed, then zoom out

Ep 4 was a minor improvement. Let’s see how it’s handle, let’s go. I’m strapped up with curiosity haha
Episode 3 was so dry. Like 3 or 4/10 drop worthy quality

I'm torn. On the one hand, I liked this episode more than the last 3, mainly because the plot actually got going…
Apart, they shine more! True.
Though when they took a horseback ride in the bamboo forest even I was feeling the magic. Maybe because I saw the open wonder Tae Eul felt and her acceptance.

Episode 4 was the best by far.
TIME JUMP SPOTTED.
Tae Eul fills in paperwork mid October for replacement ID, then finds herself mid-November when King comes back (suddenly)
However the King is able to leave his palace and come back within days, or even the same night so it's more linear
I feel like complex sci-fi is being tackled by the writer but is she ready?
I will tune in next week!

Nothing was going on in ep 4 until like the last 10 minutes. I wish they would stop making cliffhangers like this.…
I really enjoyed finding out about Shin Jae and his gambling mom
And the PM is more than a pretty face! Woohoo.
Also I liked the King visiting his relative and handing over autopsy report
There is so much groundwork being laid, I hope the payoff is sweet

LOL
The threat of going bald will stop her for sure XD

Exactly! In all my examples, it's meant to show "character is annoyed, or character is irritated, or character is being cute, or character is thinking because they're "slow-witted" - but too much, and it loses it's effectiveness. The action looks forced and done on purpose - opposite to the natural meaning they want to convey

Everytime I see her with her hair down, I go "here we go"
JayBird give pixie cut please, or do some fancy braids

~Confession time~

Dan Oh in Extraordinary You = tucking hair behind ears
Sae Ro Yi in Itaweon Class = patting his head flat like a pancake
Tae Eul in The King: Eternal Monarch = tying her hair up

What is this method of acting called? Character immersion? I'm not a fan of it. Sorry to be old school, but I used to think Jang Geun Suk in You're Beautiful was the bees knees, coz he'd scowl by twisting his lips side to side and I thought that was the HEIGHT of phenomenal acting LOL (it wasn't)

This is all down to direction though. Because they're good actors, I give free pass BUT please let not physical acting replace ACTUAL acting.

Person Lee Dong Wook
Damn how is this mean near 40? He doesn’t look that old like tf?!
The crazy thing I remember watching wild romance in 2012 and thinking he was old (but handsome)...but in retrospect he was only 30!! A fetus.
And I came on today, convinced he was mid-40's but he's only 38
WHAT O.O
On The King: Eternal Monarch Apr 18, 2020
Yes I sense no chemistry between both leads but there is nothing wrong with Kim Go Eun's portrayal! She is a hardened cop, fancy pants on a horse ain't gonna make her heart flutter alrite?
