I haven't watch the ep 22 but based from the past episodes and on the clips I saw on Tiktok, I think he feels guilty from his past actions toward NXG like the overtime and the workloads he gave her in the earlier episode; and also, I thinks he feels that what happened to him became nothing, the fact that it was not really NXG who invited him but her father's goddaughter (imagine being on an accident on the way hoping to see the girl that you like but turns out it was just an impostor who didn't give a f*** to you after the accident and taking it out on someone innocent).
