I want to give it a review but honestly all I could say is PERFECTION✨. This drama gave me hope that chinese writers can actually f*cking write. The pacing 10/10, character developments 10/10, full use of its casts 100/10, choreography 8/10 but hand-to-hand combat are savage! World building 12/10. This drama is like eating a well-balanced meal and you take your time enjoying every bite of it.
I have tried watching this over and over again only because it was something I was looking forward to watching it but just as when I had given up, the hype around it makes me wanna try again, but I just can't. I agree with what you said, both actors has their own merit in their own acting abilities. But I guess for me, it is the premise of fake affection that thrown me off, and usually their is a gradualness as the story develops as in fake lovers to real lovers, and yet I don't see that. The world of where the story takes place seems to also be so condensed and the villains are honestly boring. I would have to say the script lacks cohesion and proper depth that it needed because i'm not being pulled in the narrative that they are trying to tell.
Everyone has different taste. You don't have to force yourself and try other things. In my case I didn't think…
It was just one of my highest anticipated drama, guess that's why I'm feeling disappointed. but will try it again once all episodes are released, maybe.
Am I the only who is not feeling this? I had high expectation cuz I read the plot of the novel thought it was interesting, but I don't see any chemistry, and the episodes are not making want to know what happens next. I'm also watching edits of this just to convince myself to watch but it's giving me nothing. I'm not trying to spoil it for anyone. this is just my own opinion.
From what I understand (and someone can correct me if I’m wrong), an old colleague from the show Graduation—who…
I just look things up that even if she doesn’t mention Yu Shuxin’s name, if Yu Shuxin’s team collects enough evidence that the public reasonably interpreted the statements as being about her, then she could still build a defamation case. The accuser might try to deny it’s about Yu Shuxin, but if the majority clearly sees it that way, the denial won’t fully protect her. And if she insists it’s not about Yu Shuxin, then her story risks being dismissed as fiction, which undermines her credibility.

wow, that is not a victim that is someone with an agenda. And to the people that can't even tell how scheming of a person she is, are just straight up blind. I just hope Yu Shuxin is able to have proper legal advise to properly defend herself with this type of thing.

One thing to point out, the show has been released 9 years ago, yet she waited till Yu Shuxin parted ways from her old company to come out and say this. Which, overall, feels calculated.
From what I understand (and someone can correct me if I’m wrong), an old colleague from the show Graduation—who is now a former actress—has been making claims on Weibo that Yu Shuxin isolated her, gave her nicknames, and acted like a diva. However, her only “evidence” is her own words. As far as I know, no one else from that show has come forward to confirm her story. So far, everything remains unverified and alleged. Still, haters have taken this and exaggerated it, blowing it out of proportion and essentially cyberbullying Yu Shuxin—which is pretty ironic if you think about it.
Can anyone explain how she became blind and then suddenly when she was rescued by her master she was no longer…
her drink was poisoned by her brother and that poison made her blind. Her master was able to restore her vision when she treated her, they didn't show the process.
