Finally done with this and I love every minute of it well except ep12 because why was everyone slow all of a sudden…
Right? I’m still a bit confused with the timeline because in one scene thup says it’s only been a few hours and the doctor was already pronouncing him brain dead but darins bruises are gone when they’re talking so maybe it had been a while? I really don’t know but to stand there with your partner who went through the same thing but isn’t lying in a coma talking about “eh sorry yours ain’t built like mine” is CRAZY
I Loved the show! my only issue was that Pooh's contact lenses were all over the place! XD
😂 I thought maybe the eye changing had something to do with his powers like the lighter it is the more danger or closer to ghosts he was because I noticed sometimes it was normal then others it was almost glowing? But maybe they just…couldn’t stick with one pair 😭😭😭
im so angry that chet and park died i was waiting for them to get together sinceeeee, this drama was honestly…
I liked the series honestly but I really thought Chet would get a good guy arc since we got the flashback of Chet and pheem wanting to be brothers but forced to be rivals. I hated he couldn’t be better and live a somewhat happy ending with park but I think to clean the story up considering Chet was a drug dealer and murderer who most likely would’ve gotten jail time they just offed him.
I just don't get it 😕 what was the point in keeping "the plan" from Than?! Poor guy had to watch as…
What I got was that pheem didn’t know for sure if he would make it (what if they shot him in the head or drowned him) so to spare than at least a bit of comfort in not seeing him die as well as trying to keep him out of harms way he deviced a plan that whether he lived or died than could continue his life.
I wish we got to know more of Ae's motives behind attending a fashion school and becoming an invisible student,…
I think (and this is just my opinion) that he got super into the punk scene and his love lowkey turned to obsession. He wants to further hi knowledge to support this obsession and became a model just for the funds. If I recall correctly he had no pure intention when becoming a model and was actually scouted after going broke buying so many clothes. Even though he’s clumsy he wants to be able to make pieces that aren’t available and will perfectly match his look. Such as an artist taking lessons even in styles they don’t intend to do like a portraitist taking scenery classes because it’ll enhance their overall ability. So I don’t think he knew he would actually end up working the same competition his school was attending until he was already enrolled in the classes. That’s just my take.
I really hope the last ep isn’t rushed either but it’s looking like it will be.
I also think too that his age needs to be taken into consideration... When he was young, same sex relationships…
I think you’re missing a huge point in the story being that the grandfather and ye hai yuan have fallen in love through three different reincarnations. First the boy second his wife and third hai yuan now. He was 100% in love with him but fighting his feelings out of guilt that he was much older as well as in his grandsons body. Also children are people…weird to insulate otherwise.
Because there is a difference between some magical creature that never ages and a grandpa who aged, lived his…
That’s the thing though, there is no difference. I understand that we see him as an old man because his body was able to physically age unlike the mythical creatures but they don’t just magically stop aging at 17 mentally. A good example is midnight sun (twilight in Edward’s point of view) although his body does not age his mind does. He is able to mentally age to 117 and that’s also represented in century of love where San is over 100 and he acts like it however of course his body does not age with him. My whole point is that the only reason people don’t have the same reaction to a mythical creature as they have to this grandpa is they aren’t seeing the physical aging. If you have two people both being 200 but one physically aged while the other didn’t and they fall in love with a 17 year old people are going to defend to one that still looks hot and young even though both 200 year olds are in the same boat. It’s all about aesthetic. Honestly if the show never showed the grandpa I think people would’ve been able to digest it better like they do in other shows where the aging is never shown. Everyone’s opinion is valid though and I appreciate the no hate lol.
Because there is a difference between some magical creature that never ages and a grandpa who aged, lived his…
Also in Minatos laundry mat he’s 30 while the love interest is a minor. As well as dear to me where the love interests are 25 and 17…which you rated high :|
Because there is a difference between some magical creature that never ages and a grandpa who aged, lived his…
…so it’s okay to be 1000, 300, 100 but being 69 is unacceptable? Weird. It’s almost like the only thing that makes it acceptable is that the “magical non aging creatures” just LOOK young and attractive. And he never wanted to “live happily ever after” in his grandsons body. His grandson made the choice for him and forced him back because he felt he deserved to live more. It’s odd that you watched the show and took it that way.
Can't watch anymore, I already know enough from comments. No matter how bad Zefang was (he was actually acting…
I think that would’ve been interesting for grandpa to reincarnate but as far as zefang and riqing go I think we forget that zefang didn’t love or really even like him. RIQING deserved better. Even though riqing says he genuinely likes zefang, his whole goal was to be better than his half brother. Zefang just wanted love in general considering his only family left was his grandfather. So they had a symbiotic relationship, craves love, craves attention. In the long run that dynamic would’ve never worked (not to mention Zefang was a cheater). I think for riqing, Zefang was security. It’s mentioned his father didn’t praise or love him the way he did hai yuan. He saw how much Zefang wanted hai yuan and made it his mission to be loved by him thus getting the validation that he’s better than hai yuan and while doing this he made this relationship his security blanket for worth. He mentions all the time how their relationship depended on money and protection :/
I see a lot of people disliking the age gap but defend century of love, minstos laundromat, 1000 years old etc…I…
I get that people aren’t happy that zefang wasn’t able to return to his body at the end BUT that was his choice. Xia cha never wanted to permanently reside in his grandsons body. He tried many times to contact his grandson to figure out how to switch places. He’s a great grandpa and I hate people are hating on him.
I see a lot of people disliking the age gap but defend century of love, minstos laundromat, 1000 years old etc…I think the concept would’ve been weird if xia cha knew hai yuan throughout his life but they met once before the swoopty do. Also I don’t think people are taking into consideration the swap also affects him physically and mentally. All the comments saying he’s straight…he’s in a gay boys body!
I find this hypocritical considering how highly you rated century of love and minatos laundry. Also the grandfather didn’t want to stay in his grandsons body. He tried multiple different ways to switch back (literally drowned himself) and the grandson decided to stay behind because he realized that hu was his grandmother reincarnated. It is quite clearly presented to the audience that cha’s soulmate has lived three separate lives. The boy that passed, his wife who passed and now hu. Zefang was stuck in limbo unable to get back to his body not due to his grandfather’s selfishness but his own mental block. Also the idea that some instincts and feelings aren’t the same due to the body Brian and soul being of different spaces is shown. When they swapped places, cha experiences things a bit more immaturely and less rational than his older self. Not once while watching the show was the narrative “sacrifice the young so the old can live again” shown. The grandfather had one living relative left that he loved more than life itself. Even after falling in love with Hu and realizing hu may be his wife reincarnated he still prepared Hu for when zefang would reclaim his body. He made it clear that he will always chose his grandsons life over his own happiness. And lastly! Hu didn’t fall in love with old cha because he spoke with him ONCE before he unfortunately passed :/ It’s not like a huge age gap hasn’t been done in bl history before but that wasn’t the main goal of THIS bl. It especially shows that love ISNT about outward appearance because zefang tried for years to get Hu. Hu fell in love with a genuine soul (which happened to be his soulmate) if you pay attention, cha tells riqing that his wife would’ve been his age if she reincarnated when she died….riqing and Hu are the same age. Anyway I respect this trope not being your cup of tea. I really dislike the step brother trope myself but spreading misinformation isn’t okay.
:(
I really hope the last ep isn’t rushed either but it’s looking like it will be.
And the trying to sound philosophical isn’t a great look when you’re unable to understand your own simile :/
