I think we need to consider whether we are colluding with gay oppression when we support these dramas which are…
Agree with you. Why take BL material and change it to brotherly - are there not enough non-BL stories to adopt for the screen? Fortunately Thai companies started to be more open to higher budget BL shows with some interesting plot (like Manner of Murder) so maybe in the future we will have good stories with high budget and good stenography :)
is there any romance is really can't watch something if it doesn't contain romance
Hard to answer your question. It is based on BL story, main leads do not have any girlfriend or potential female partners and you can really feel their love on the screen. BUT (and there is a big but) is Chinese drama so no kissing or any love confession between man (that is why I stooped watching Chinese drama - they are taking BL stories and made them BL stories without BL). In summary: there is romance and this romance is really tragic and beautiful (and I love it) but it is all in subtext.
I was postponing watching it because I started my BL drama journey with ThornType and Untamed and the story of this one looked like would be very boring and standard (compared to them). I was so wrong! I love it is not a typical love story, but it is A LOVE STORY. If you are like me and do not know if you should watch it? Do it, you will not be disappointed.
I like the beginning and premise of this story. It could be a really good show with emotional depth - unfortunately, something went wrong. I have to main problems: First two main characters have an emotional spectrum of a brick. And in case of Solo, it fits with the idea of his character but Gui should be always smiling and positive (and OMG he is not, I can count the time he smiled on fingers of one hand!! - it make their dynamic wired and without sense when all others character tell us how "smiley" is Gui). Another problem is lack of discussion about emotional abuse that Solo has been through - the last few episodes were incredibly interesting and I was waiting to Solo to break free from his prison but all that had ended with this clusterf**k that was 13 episode. In summary, we ended up with ok BL drama that could be a phenomenal story.
Is it just me or does these writers just treat abuse victims poorly ,if I'm wrong i need to understand. Because…
The same. I like this show, but ending with semi "new beginning" with Solo dad was just horrible - and in real word would be start of long years of therapy.
Wait? I thought that Dam is the older brother of Pued? (or is his/their father?) That is why everyone is listing…
Ok, but I thought that Dam is a title, not a name? Like he is someone in the mob and nobody knows who he is ( I think even Tat said to Bun that nobody knows his face?) - that why I thought about Pued’s older brother - he looked like someone in mafia. But if it is a name than it can be this congressman.
