As a girl who spends "too much time reading novels" I would beg to different. Reading has nothing to do with being…
I read tons of YA novels too so her character doesn't seem that different to me so far. I've read many such female protagonists who are naive and that's what Sabin is. Its her nativity that's making her make reckless decisions. Now, the character development on her part would be learning from these decisions and mature. If this doesn't happen, then I'd say the writing is terrible. Plus, I'm on episode 10. I have a lot of episodes to go to catch up so let's see.
Okay, I have no idea why this drama is rated so low. Mostly, what I figured is because of the characters. FL seems to be too perfect but I think I kinda understand her character. Her past self spent all her time in a bookstore where she read novels mostly. It is quite clear that she was a hopeless romantic and this thing is reflected in her present character. Even though she's successful and all, she's still the same. Girls like her, who spend too much time reading the novels, think that anyone can be saved. They're usually there to save all the bad boys and turn them into the goody ones. And this is EXACTLY how Sabin is. If you look at her character from this perspective, everything clears. Moreover, she can't control her heart when she's with Soohyuk. It's like she herself and her body are two different people that is why she's progressing with both leads, trying to figure out who she actually likes. I can't blame her though. Girls like her exist in most of the YA novels. I do understand that this drama has plot holes and stuff but for once, I'm enjoying a kdrama with a unique storyline.
Ignore romance scenes and this drama is AMAZING!! The side characters, the side stories with all the mysteries and crimes are WOW...Episodes 7 & 8 changed my opinion by 70%, I was hating it before.
I have a question for all those who've finished watching the drama. It's in the spoiler tag below.
Where was this scene where Dong Baek was telling Sun Mi that her death would hurt him the most? The dialogues were included in the preview but there was so such scene.
1) The 2 parallel universes merge. Would 100% not recommend this one, it would break the world. Let's not do that.2)…
You're right. And I hope that they go with 5 as well! Pleaseee!! But that would require kdrama writers/directors stepping out of their boundaries! Hahaha....

Number 5 actually makes most sense. I don't think number 4 will happen. Lee Gon was raised to be a monarch and if he gives up thousands of people just for the woman he loves, its gonna be very stupid XD
I don't understand 'romance' element in this drama. I mean, he believes that he loves her but in my opinion he has loved just an image of her in his own mind for 25 years. How come he fell for her as soon as he saw her? And to think she's exact opposite of what he thought she would be. Personally, I don't like plots like these. When you love an image of someone in your head and when that person is totally different, you think you love them still. I don't know, its not convincing enough. On top of it, I, for once, don't feel chemistry between the two. AT ALL. I seriously hope they improve but I doubt it.
