YES!! It’s almost like they use music and effects to try to compensate for the lack of effective dialogue. Or they try to create “tension” which has the opposite effect for me. I recently stopped watching thai BLs EXACTLY bc of the points you mentioned.

Oh my lord, i have said this before and i’ll say it again. I have a problem with GMMTV and their excessive sound effects and use of music. It’s like we can’t even go 5 minutes without some song arrangement playing in the background. This has ruined a lot of their series for me, including this one. Sometimes it just makes it cringier than it should be. I strongly believe that they need to step up their BL game especially if they’re going to compete with bigger, more popular series that have come out. I don’t know if this is just me and I feel like a big complainer, but they need to take some criticism and improve😭

One of the biggest problems with this company is that they mass produce BLs when it’s already a saturated market. It just gets tiring when they make a bunch of series that leaves no impact or are poorly written. I don’t mean to offend anyone who enjoys a lot of their stuff because you’re allowed to like it!! I just wanted to state my opinion and see if anyone else feels the way I do.

Then i guess in my opinion, Bouns scriptwriting just isn’t doing it for me personally. I think he made it too similar to GMMTVs other projects that it doesn’t especially stand out. I love him as a person, but i’m not going to glaze a series just bc he was involved. With this being said, I have IMMENSE respect for him, and it probably took him a while to create this, so i can’t stress just how much admiration i have for him. I hope to see this series through just to support him but I also hope he can grow to create better things, the potential is 100% there!! It’s his first project (that i know of at least) so good on him.

Also, a little thing I wanted to add: not every drama GMMTV makes HAS to be comedic. This was such a perfect opportunity to make a more darker, mature series that BL fans have been craving recently. I’m hoping for more projects in the future to be catered towards a more mature audience.

I apologize if i pushed it onto GMMTV, but I was doing research out of genuine curiosity and am really confused. So it’s based on a novel, and there was an original darker themed trailer on YT before cast and stuff got changed and they ended up releasing a second trailer which was more lighthearted and less well received from what I can gather from YT comments. Yes, it may have been Bouns idea but after the whole change up, it could have got revised by GMMTV, especially bc you can see the change up between the two trailers. People are saying that this version may have not been what Boun originally wanted and seem upset there as well. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t unfairly crediting the wrong people, but if I’m incorrect about this please correct me. 🙏

I really wish GMMTV would stop with the cringe lines and excessive music/sound effects. I feel like there are so many better ways to write the script, so it’s upsetting that this is what we see BounPrem in. I also love them to death, but their acting just isn’t hitting in this specific drama so far and I’m going to blame that on the directing and script. This drama was being hyped up so much and we had to wait FOREVER for this to come out so it makes me even more disappointed. I know that GMMTV loves their comedy, but adding the same old repetitive BOINK sound effects doesn’t make a scene any funnier in my opinion. It’s hard to enjoy this when i’m too busy hitting my head at the cringey ahh lines😭. But to each their own. I’m sure many will enjoy this, especially bc it’s BounPrem and who doesn’t love them.

I’m getting pretty confused and upset at some of the comments here. The point of comments are to COMMENT your personal opinions. Of course some people are going to leave negative comments if they don’t like the series. Personally, when i read comments, i look for both good and bad comments to see what I’m getting myself into before I watch. You’re allowed to like the show, that opinion is 100% valid and people can’t take that away from you, even if they try to. So don’t take away the opinions of people who criticize a series. If curious people read comments and see nothing but positive feedback, they’re going to get high hopes and can be left extremely disappointed if it didn’t live up to their expectations. Let’s all have a little maturity here and accept all opinions, please.
