I have just finished watching ep 1, really love her role❤️❤️ I have been trying to find a drama that feels like mysterious lotus casebook, I like it so far with the detecting cases vibe, but sad to know the female lead will be switched, I will miss her, it could be hard to get familiar or acquainted again if different actors play the same role

Why are you so dumb?I belong to her Ethnicity, freaking idiot and Chinese butchered her name to Dilraba. Uyghur…
Usually you would pronounce your name in the language you are speaking in, like a lot of chinese kpop singers, they would pronounce it the korean way, the R in the mandarin pinyin would become L sound, it's for the korean audience. It's so they can understand and can follow the pronunciation. The same name can have different pronunciation in different languages, I am not sure what the arguing point here is. Even within chinese, there are 300 language/dialect, the unified transliteration is mandarin pinyin, but if for example you are from shanghai, your local native pronuncation would be different from how you wrote it in english, because it's transliterated in pinyin. I hope everyone can stop arguing on pointless things.

There are a lot of older dramas where the female lead has solid personality and are not weak or annoying, like Butterfly lovers (2007), Oh my general (2017), Return of the condor heroes (2006)

He does look mixed or at least not full "Han" Chinese. But China has taken over a lot of surrounding areas, so...
Not sure how you could say this when chinese people has been invaded so many times in history. Do you know Tifayifu? That is Manchurian invasion and control and suppression over han chinese for 3 centuries, being the lowest rank of human and slave in your own country, I think chinese people are so good at forgiving and develop a sense of kinship to people so easily that most people cannot even see the pain and suffering, so many drama shows and novels are writing the emotions, happiness and sadness of manchurian people and humanizing them instead of treating them as the enemies, hair is the most important thing to chinese people and it was forced to cut and forced to wear manchurian clothings, and after 3 centuries, because you are living in poverty, you are striped of everything, no dignity, watching other people take control and rule over you over and over again, even to this day people still feel so inferior to themselves and are living in the havoc of poverty from other countries keep invading and striping everything from the people, and because you are living in poverty, you don't know the background and so you do not know why it is this way, you confuse "my culture" with "the culture or living situation of poverty" and it leads people to keep looking up to other culture, and even after qing dynasty, so many people still keep the hair because that is the hair and clothes that your parents and your grandparents wears

I have a question. Do actors already get paid once they end the shooting for a drama (like the full payement)…
Sometimes it's paid when the shooting finish, sometimes it's paid seperately, a section for when finished and the other part might need to wait till the movie or drama is on air or after the season finish broadcasting. I think every drama and production team might differs

I agree, Chinese actresses must have so much competition with their huge population and all that they have to…
Do you not see that it's a defensive mechanism? A lot of chinese audience love american drama shows and movies and even create fan made songs writing the character's life, while American as a whole mostly knows nothing about chinese, not even a single word, not even the number of languages and ethnicities, I think chinese people are so good at forgiving and develop a sense of kinship to people so easily that most people cannot even see the pain and suffering, in the last 2 centuries china has went from the center of the world to a third world country, where there is this country that use opium to make people become addicted and drain out the money that people have spent so many centuries making, there is this country that diluted the gold and silver to pay for products and make china become poorer and poorer, I cannot bring myself to mention the other things they do, and yet people have completely no stigma toward this country. These countries uses the people's trust and they do not care about what happen to the people, countless people died from hunger and so many people have to eat sand to just not feel hungry, can you imagine how desperate the people are that at that time they are even trying to get rid of the language and switch to latin words because they thought being too complicated is what cause them to not being able to catch up to the world and being attacked and bullied like this, the people are doing reflection on their own when being attacked by so many countries when actually those countries are just cruel and selfish, they shouldn't have to be reflecting on their own. And right now, so many of the policies are actually coming from the fear of repetition, for you it's a safe world but for other people it's on the blink of a whole civilization being destroyed, in poverty the cultural loss is what is unrecoverable

It is good to see an actress coming from the minority community in china hope she gets more roles and entertains…
There are so many ethnic minority celebrities but most people doesn't seem to know, because english information page doesn't list the ethnic, like Guan Xiaotong is Manchurian, Hangeng is Hezhen ethnic, Yang Chaoyue is Bai ethnic, Yang Di (MC) is Qiang ethnic, Jike Junyi (Summer) is Yi ethnic and so many
