XD I watched SS donghua before reading the novel, and then of cause rewatched it after reading the novel and it was far better after knowing the context XD And yeah, just wait for season 2 - there will be a strong difference to season 1 lol But I have to say, S1 had a horrible end, like, they should have had end the season kinda different. When SQQ pushed LBH down the cliff for example, but like this it felt unfinished.

It's really bothering and annoying tbh. I'm looking for a therapist now and visiting online meetings, trying to cope with it. Right now playing Onmyoji really helps, since it's not only fun, but I also play with others, so I have the responsibility to stay in the game and focused. Different from Genshin, where you play solo and can quit whenever - which is why I'm not motivated to play it rn either. But it's a phase, it will change again, I just don't know when. And I can't really tell what's the trigger, usually it's my family, but sometimes it's just, you wake up and you already feel exhausted.
At the latest, when the MXTX volumes arrive I'm pretty sure the happiness about it will give me high energy lol ... or if HYX suddenly airs - that would strike me like god lightning .....

Hm, I don't know if this would be something for you, but actually, the reason I started watching MDZS back then, was bc it was a recommendation for a anime series I love called Hakouoki. It's based on a Otome game (the first of my life lol), but I didn't knew this the first time I watched it. It's categorised as Reverse Harem, but really - the story is so much more and not comparable to any other RH anime. It's set in the final years of the Edo period and (besides vampires) it includes many actual historic figures (like the main characters, the Shinsengumi) and events. The game is available for the phone(for free) as well as for PC and Nintendo.It's story based, so no worries about control, you only have to pick answers. If you like, the anime can be found for free on YT with English Dub (the only ED I actually liked lol, but I don't know where you can legally watch the original dub wit subs.

Lol It's easy to control though. Whenever you might like to try it out, it's for free on the App shop. But really try the anime pls! There are two OVA movies as well, but don't watch them without watching the series prior! Trust me, you will only be confused. XD
