Hm, I'm sure there has to be. Different from the C-Dramas, writer of Chinese web novels seem to be very fearless when it comes to breaking taboos and writing the most disturbing, uncomfortable stuff - wich, tbh, I really appreciate. Anything else is censoring and a fictional story should not be censored at all imo. A non-fiction story shouldn't be censored as well tho, maybe just name changing, but any form of censorship when it comes to writing down, expressing oneself or sharing information is a restriction which has a great impact on the subject, which in this case would be a novel. Have you read Dan Brown's Inferno?

First of all - Butler Old Feng is the best! Really, I appreciate him so much🤣🤣🤣 And when Zhong Wan goes to the palace to ask for permission to send Xiao Rui back, you can be sure it will not go as expected. In the manhua there are small flashbacks, wich are both fluff and funny but in the sub context their story is very sad. Aaahhh, I just want them to get together, it's so obvious they have feelings for each other, but they are both dummies!
