I like this drama.. It’s different from my usual rom coms ..both leads are interesting people who’ve had hard lives but still manage to help others (I’m not so sure the ML has done something bad as inferred in ep 4 tho.. ) I love the everyday characters and the friend/family structure that’s all around them. The story today was deep, heartfelt and unfortunately is something that happens.
Death being a part of life.. people passing onto the next phase. I do love how some dramas look at reincarnation as a chance to come back and redo/reconnect/re-live life with the one you didn’t get to be with or had a sad ending…
So far I like it.. it’s an interesting storyline.(a I always like anything to do with the supernatural:) I like how both leads are ordinary people trying to make ends meet (however they can) and the ML is just a regular guy. Something about it ..to me..is relaxing yet mysterious (some hidden things going on) FL. Lead is a hard worker, capable, observant ..not necessarily liking her job but doing what’s right.. I really love her comic timing in episode 1 … she was super funny in My BF is a Gumiho..loved it :D ML is trying his best is compassionate and is kind… I really like that
Overall I really enjoyed it.. I felt it showed a more romantic/sweet/adorable side of Fang Leng and his relationship -with Xaoqi was a bit longer (more dates more kisses) and sweeter… there was a lot,of reference to the initial season and I enjoyed that Initially , I didn’t care for the 2nd ML but in the end he redeemed himself and I understood that he himself did not fully realize how strong his emotions were to Xoaqi such as jealousy, loving her ,wanting her to belong to only him and love him… his awakening was her real response to him when she cried bc she wanted to be with the one she loved.. she was never going to love him and that was his maturing/understanding that you can’t control brainwash etc another …( viewed it like - he’s an alien I’ll give him some leeway)
Loved that the brother Fang had his,own relationship and was never interested in XQ.. Xaobu was just perfect and the two were so adorably sweet I loved that we got more intimacy of the leads and of course the ending for me was wonderful.. the kids enough could go on for season 3 with their relationships and abilities. In the end.. they had me at MGIAA season 1 - so I was already going to love season 2 It was a pleasure bc it was a story in a story and we all knew it was going to have a happy ending… with this one I was easy to please me bc I just love the concept/leads and personalities .the quirkiness of XQ..the fact that FL is going to love her bc she’s perfect for him. ;D . And in the end…they have become like family .. even the mom was able to change for the better:)
Not sure how they’re going to end it but it’s been a fun interesting drama to watch. I just saw episode 23 and there’s gonna be ALOT to put into one last episode ….hopefully happy …?

Rom coms I really enjoyed were : Love is sweet My lucky princess (i watch so many and now my mind is blank:) lol I just finished familiar stranger which had a really good story line and wonderful chemistry Love between fairy and devil - incredible.. loved it The generals wife (2nd ML from meteor garden Chinese version) If I think of more I’ll post them.. any good ones you’ve seen recently?
Oh god... This drama is so so cute and good story wise all the way then they had to add in this awful ending at…
I had no idea that’s what happened.. I saw it raw.. I’ll leave it be as my mind first accepted it that they live happily ever after and he gets to stay on this world ..LOL

It’s such a cute rom com.. i just watched 11 and 12 raw so I’m going back in with subs now :) I’m really starting to like these short dramas they go quickly and are fun to watch.. just finished Familiar stranger (SO GOOD!) demon emperor matchmaker , & Queen of attack 1 and 2… Also The killer is also romantic ..was really good!
I LOVED the first one (watched it so many times) and yet I’m finding I may love this one even more (just a bit) it’s more of their relationship, really learning and knowing each other, resolving issues together and he’s a bit softer in this one. I like the development of them without the annoying 2nd FL pulling on him and the mind games she played (awful creature) And even tho there is a male who likes her I find it bearable bc it’s only slight and she has no feelings for him other than friend Plus No one does adorable quirky nutty like Wang Pen -she is the best. She pulls it off so well I think it’s part of her real personality. Lol
