I'm glad you're enjoying the show, but AoS is not historical. The story has original lore, different from korean…
Maybe "historical" means "not current or present time"? I have avoided all "historical" dramas as well, but I'm glad I decided to watch this one based upon a 5 minute preview/trailer that was shown a few days before it aired last week.
Yes he’s the king’s son. The king slept with ML mom during the soul switch in epi 1. Park Jin did it to protect…
If JU was the Old Kind's son, then he would not have inherited his father's super power/energy. The Old King did not have mage power. I understand why Park Jin is protecting him - but in the end, his DNA is Jang and, like his dad, he will become the most powerful mage in Daeho. Or. . . that's what I think we are leading up to. 😊
Lady Jin was sus when Choyeon said her sister died. I think she was weak since she was born, they tried to treat…
According to the tVN site, Choyeon's father is searching for "his missing daughter". Ever since I read that description, there's no doubt in my mind that Mu-Deok is that sister. Another clue: Physician Heo recognized her ear. And, another clue (caught by commenter Sominah), Mu-Deok's promotional short video (similar to the Four Seasons) is also cherry blossoms - same as Choyeon.
Jang Uk is 20 . Regarding Nak Soo, she seems an experienced assassin so I would rule out that she is a teen. She…
I hadn't thought about the fact that Dad was there when Naksu's family died. She looks age 2-3 in her "memory." However, pretty sure Dad left when JU was a newborn - that's what it looked like in Ep. 3 - unless I missed something; I haven't done a re-watch yet.😊
I'm having a difficult time aligning the the avenging angel Naksu, supposedly scarred for life because she saw her parents murdered, and the apparently younger, sweet teenager Naksu.
Mu Deok clearly said to Jang Uk that she wants him to be her lake. We will eventually learn more about this as…
I apologize that I didn't make it very clear - I realize that MD wants JU to be that "someone who has the power. . . ". So, I guess we will find out how the power gets absorbed/transferred. And, even if she obtains more "power", it will be interesting to see if she gains more physical strength - do they go hand-in-hand or are they separate "strengths". This show is very intriguing, but I hope whatever rationale the writers come up with, they will be consistent for all episodes.
MD said "someone who has power as strong as the lake could push out the energy within me". Did I miss the explanation of how that will be accomplished? Or, is it something that we will eventually learn later. Maybe lots of skinship? I'm here for the skinship.
God I hate the "I'm doing all this to protect you" trope so much when will these ppl learn 🙄
Guess you won't be watching because his "twisted destiny" is the entire basis for a 20 episode series. And about 1/2 of all the great epic stories/mythology that have come down through the ages.
"Now I understand why Naksu entered MD body." I must have missed that part - can you explain (probably w/a spoiler…
Can you point me to the scene where this was explained?? (I admit - I FF the King/Jin Mu scene). And I guess we all need to document the three levels of channeling Daeho water for future reference.

Several of us think the same thing - except in spite of what was said today, she didn't die. She's "missing" according to tVN character description of her father Jin Woo-tak.
Does Villain Jin Mu have any inkling about Uk's possible parentage? Not simply that he may be illegitimate but…
I'm not sure if there is a clear answer as to "who is the true father". My understanding is that Uk's father feared/knew that if others were to learn what the Old King did - they would see the child as a threat to their power/hold on the throne and try to kill Uk. He didn't tell Park Jin about the soul swap - he merely told him that when Uk was born, a special star appeared in the heavens - indicating that a royal child had been born. Sooner or later, I guess Jin Mu will figure it out - but for now he's more concerned about finding Naksu.
I knew it so basically uk is applicable for the crown prince’s position
Does Villain Jin Mu have any inkling about Uk's possible parentage? Not simply that he may be illegitimate but that it involved the Old King? I couldn't figure out those scenes.
I'm not sure if I can do this every weekend, but this morning I got up at 5:00 am (PDT), grabbed a cup of coffee and watched the direct broadcast. The visuals are just stunning. I didn't need the subs to generally follow the various stories - and there were several stories, especially the more senior characters. But since I didn't need to concentrate on the subtitles, I could appreciate the scenery and facial expressions. The one missing ingredient is the comedy - need the subs in order to understand the precise humor. Looking forward to re-watching when Netflix releases.
