Let's place our bets on the episode 16 cliffhanger!I bet on GYJ Naksu, being the beautiful phoenix she is, rising…
I'll take that bet - because I thought we would see the big revelation long before this. I thought the So-i fake JBY would be 1-2 episodes at most and yet, after FOUR episodes since she arrived, she still hasn't met Mama Jin.
My bet for cliffhanger? So-i is accepted by Mama Jin as her long lost daughter; Jin Mu is gleefully smiling that his plan is working. Meanwhile, JBY's persona begins to emerge even more than before or Master Lee states the obvious (to himself).
Ok, guys somethings I noticed re-watching ep1 and ep2. Naksu's father ran wild but now we know he was a soul shifter.…
I also think it was a fake body that was burned. However, it wasn't the gisaeng. in Ep. 3, when Gil-ju was burning the bodies of the victims from the "soul eater", it showed that her body was laying on the ground. It's not clear if Gil-ju burned the body or not (he had previously told Jin Mu that he had thrown her body in the lake; he also didn't tell Jin Mu that the blue mark was missing. )
Jin Mu believes that the body of the gisaeng contains Naksu's' soul and he believes it is at the bottom of Lake G.
How would that be possible? Wouldn't both of them have the blue marks on their bodies from when they're young…
Her theory is that Jin Bu-yeon was soul-swapped into Cho Yeong's body and turned into the "Naksu persona" (my term) because of Jin Mu's brainwashing. Cho Yeong was soul swapped into blind-girl "Mu-deok". When Naksu tried to soul=-shift in the tavern, she swapped back into her Original Jin Bu-yeon body. Everything follows from that premise.
Another way to think of it. Mu-deok (current) has one soul but a split personality (my term) - Naksu (created by Jin Mu) and original Jin Bu-yeon.
Big Sis and Little Sis finally have their sit-down! Saw something on Twitter and so I just re-watched the preview for Ep 15/16 to confirm. It looks like we finally - FINALLY - get the sister conversation with Cho-yeon and "Mu-Deok" that was in the 6 minute trailer. In the Ep 15/16 preview, both ladies are wearing outfits shown in the trailer. For the record, I believe this is the one remaining scene from the 6 minute trailer.
I think it's just a coincidence. As soon as they showed that Mu Deok/But Yeon had that birth mark I was like...Oh!…
The twitter post that I saw (and now I can't locate it) was wondering if it was the mark of the King's Star; but there is no indication that Bu-yeon was born on the same day as Jang Uk so I question that connection.
Someone posted screen shot from the "forehead" scene and compared it to Mu-deok. So I did searching and in old photos, it looks like he (the actor) has a similar mark. Here's example: https://twitter.com/leejaewookstyle. If it's a coincidence, it's a big one.
Why Return was the original title? and the description changed and there is an official article from naver which…
According to various internet sources (and perhaps "translation" has something to do with it), the series has been referred to : Can This Person Be Translated? , Salvation Interpreter , Welcome , Soul Marriage , Resurrection , Guwoneui Tongyeok , Hwan Hon ,
On the official tvN site, it is still referred to as "Marriage" - somehow related to the translation of Alchemy of Souls that I don't understand nor do I intend to try to understand.
oK I don't know if it has been talked about but that kiss....I didn't feel butterflies tbh and naksu's reaction…
JSM is a pro - she "acted" exactly as she was told to - surprise, shock, "I can't believe he just did what I told him to do but it was supposed to be with a different woman".
Meanwhile, did viewers want THIS to be the perfect kiss or do you want THE perfect kiss to be on top of that tree now that Jung Uk has reached Chisu?
I am invested in one character and only one character (Jin Bu-yeon) and, based on what I read about Hong Sisters,…
the only reason I fear this is what I read about the Hong Sisters. There are so many positive/happy options for Bu-yeon, but if they're going to eventually kill (sacrifice) one of the top tier characters, then she's the most likely candidate.
I know fandom is divided because change of actress, but here Im so excited bec I think this will be a first one…
Thank you for writing a comment that supports why you are looking forward to the change without mocking or criticizing viewers who don't feel the same way. Well done. 😍
I thought the same. Some time ago people were arguing here about this on that scene of the love letter with no…
I haven't analyzed the voice but while I was grocery shopping (sometimes I can't believe myself) I had this thought: To the extent they plan to have flashbacks in Season 2, it will be important to have GYJ's voice if she is portraying the character.

Here a brief BTS clip with Jang Uk and the dog during the sword fight.

I know what my choice would be.
