Are you completely confused about the different characters, the families and connections??? Yesterday, I found this relationship chart on Twitter/Instagram – with English captions. I printed it off and had it with me when I watched Ep. 1 – helped me understand the different relationships, although I still don’t understand much of difference between good and evil sorcerers/mages/magicians (Netflix subs are different from the subs in the teasers).

You and I agree on everything - I guess I wasn't very articulate in my comments. YS and MH have a connection from an "accident" during childhood. I have been saying this for the last several weeks after I re-watched Ep. 1 dream sequence - all of the evidence is there - their clothes/shoes, etc. etc.

I admit - I'm equally interested in trying to figure out a puzzle or mystery and watching a couple fall in love. That's why this show is so special.

Does anyone know the Netflix protocol for releasing the subbed version of an episode following the time it airs in Korea? i'm trying to decide if I will get up early Sat morning (5:00 a.m my time) to watch the live TVN feed unsubbed. But I think the 1st episode is going to be VERY confusing so if the sub version is available within an hour or so, I'll sleep in. 😎

Slim Xtra and Rhapsody - I was re-watching Ep. 8 and new question arises? I always thought the little girl in the billboard was YS and it was her dad with the water spray. But now we find out it wasn't simply a billboard - it was part the filmed commercial and the little girl is actress Ji-young. So. . if YS dad was filming, who is the father actor? It fit w/both of your thoughts that Hae Jin involved with the commercial. And now I can't help but wonder if the stalker is going after YS OR. . . . Ji-young (they DO look very similar). If writers pull that s**t, I will be seriously pissed.

Possible Clues: (a) the photo disappeared during the burglary; (b) in title sequence to the show, the photo is shown w/father’s face “blacked out”, so someone hates him; (c) in YS dream (therefor implied it is her memory), TWO people plunged feet first into the water and a THIRD person dove into the water; (d) Bar owner and Mom have same last name (so does intern Ro-ma).
My theory: Hae Jin (bar owner) somehow caused the accident that plunged YS and her father into the water. A car accident is the most likely scenario. He didn’t anticipate that YS would be in the car. MH rescued YS and gives her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation (flash scene in her dream) but Dad died. Since YS remembers nothing about the accident, she has not been a threat to Hae Jin. He also knows that MH rescued YS (yes, this is all theory). He’s kept an eye on her (perhaps he is related to Mom???) and as far as he knew (until recently) she hated MH.
Now, all of a sudden, events have unraveled. YS no longer hates MH and, in fact is attracted to him. Hae Jin is afraid they may begin to compare notes about their childhood connection and that YS would begin to remember what happened before or during the accident. She is now a potential threat to him. He also knows that Mom is returning and the potential exists for Mom talking about the accident.
Why did he steal the photo? I can’t figure that one out – it’s a photo of Dad holding his award (with Ji-young? or YS holding flowers?).
Question: Is Mom the artist of the brightly colored (the ONLY color) painting in MH apartment?
Final far-out theory: when MH gave YS mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, THAT began their extra-connection to each other. Her kiss cures his illness; he senses her presence and actions and it isn’t simply through the normal 5 senses.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it - until Ep. 9 & 10 anyway. 😊

MORE: I just read the lyrics to "You Make Me" (song at end of Ep. 9) and I guess this guy is a perv as well but I don't think that fits with anything said or done previously. I mean, WHY NOW?? I hope they don't throw past child molestation this late in the show.

Episodes 7 & 8 were full of flashbacks (Lee Pil Yo and MH) and they helps explain why each man is reacting to YS in today's world. These were necessary scenes and I'm glad they took care of them all at once and they are now behind us.

And we got small hints of what happened to MH and YS when they were children..

So, I'm hopeful that Eps 9&10 will be

(1) full revelation of MH and YS as children - the happy moments as well as what event(s) resulted in their respective "powers", which will lead to

(2) current day YS/MH communicating about their past and hitting the sheets. 😎

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have posted this in last 2 days, but YS isn't simply attracted to ML since she began to work at ZEU Ad. They were connected as children - she "cures" his illness; he senses her presence, and it's not just hearing her. She has dreams about their childhood, but she doesn't remember him (he remembers her). The "I see the future when I kiss" was a provacative way of attracting the audience, but their specific story is much more than that. Well, that's my opinion, anyway - could be wrong.

I may be waaaaayyyyyy out there, but I think MH rescued her from drowning and gave her mouth-to-mouth and BAM - that's when lips/kiss became a connection. Or. . . .I could be totally wrong and maybe it was Ji-young that he was locking lips with.

Nope, I just rewatched - it was YS dream, so definitely not Ji-young. But not clear if she is dreaming as a child or an adult. I choose to believe what I want to believe, LOL

Yes, their childhood! I've been posting about this for weeks - the title sequence and YS' dream are clear. Not sure if they were close friends or mere acquaintances. He remembers her but she doesn't remember him. He was an orphan, she had a family. Maybe Mom the Painter visited the orphanage and. . . . .? I think the bright painting in MH's condo (the ONLY splash of color) was done by YS's mom. But . . .there were two people who were plunged into the water - and a third dove in. So, I'm guessing MH saved her, but perhaps her dad didn't make it?

They didn't simply get their special abilities at the same time. Their abilities are connected to each other (her kiss "cures" his illness; he is specially tuned into her more than others).

Okay, bar owner was my guess as well. He has same last name as YS Mom and he really listened intently whenever YS was talking to her mom. So. . .some sort of connection. I wonder if he was somehow involved in the "car accident" that YS doesn't remember. Is he worried that YS will start to remember what happened back then? Why did he steal the photo of YS and her dad? So many mysteries.

I am ready for happy scenes of YS and MH as children! Hopefully we get some in Ep. 9 & 10.

The title sequence and YS' dream (Scene 1 of Ep. 1) make it clear - YS and MH were acquainted as children. They both developed their "powers" when they were children/tweens - I think it was the same event. well, perhaps I should say I am HOPING their powers/sensitivity occurred as the result of a shared event.

Well, yesterday (before 7&8) I posted my thoughts in the "Recent Discussion" category above and I labeled it "SPOILERS" - if you don't mind, that would be a great location to provide the info so that it doesn't fall way below in this comment thread.

It's getting out of hand for me as well. Fortunately, our "family" already had Netflix and Disney+, so my only new investment is VPN and Viki Plus.

I don't have time (or desire) to read the manhwa, but is the childhood trauma (probably the car accident) in the webtoon? Their shared childhood experience is the part I'm looking forward to the most - just wondering if it's based on the webtoon or not.

You're right - Ji-young is the same one-dimensional character as in Ep. 1, if not worse. Except for the two leads, all other characters seem to be stuck in whatever 2 sentence "character description" that the writers originally drafted. Ji-young - famous, wealthy actress with a loving father - how did she turn out this way? We will probably never know.

There wasn't much comedy, but at least watch the dinner scene early in episode - -very funny. Me? I'm here for the childhood scenes - lots of background story in Ep. 7 and 8.
