Ratings held steady - actually a tick up.

at this point in a drama (1/3 of the way through) I begin to ask. . . . what is the point of certain characters. Such as. . .Jong-uk's twin brother. What is the point of having a twin brother??? None - unless he is somehow involved in the murder. Yep. . . .this is going to be one crazy roller-coaster.

She could've been imagining the murder and still done it... in the past. I do not think she's innocent at all…
No matter what, murder is murder and if she murdered him in the past - TWO years after Ji-soo died - then she's bad, bad, bad. But I'm thinking there is much more to the story and it includes the Chairman and Jang-mi.

Title Climax Spoiler
just finished the episode and I can’t wait to find out what actually happened. if she did kill him I say she’s…
I posted this earlier - the scene at the end of Ep. 3 is NOT from the Oh Kwang-jae murder scene. Pretty sure it is from her current filming scene - but perhaps she "visualized" Oh Kwang-jae's face in order to get in the mood.

What I cannot figure out is why/how was Park Jae Sang tied up in a chair at Kwang-jae's murder scene but then somehow accused of murdering Kwang-jae? Doesn't make sense. . . unless one is willing to believe that Jang-mi set the whole thing up to frame Sang-ah and that's my story until the script proves otherwise, lol.

Enjoying this show thus far but hope it doesn't spiral down into "War of the Roses' territory.

I've been enjoying this drama, but I hate it when they pull a Lucy-and-the-football on us. That last scene with Sang-ah is NOT the actual murder of the scummy agent. The room layout is totally different from the murder case files.

I'm assuming it's part of her current movie - and perhaps she is fantasizing that it's really Oh Kwang Jae. Too many of this fake passes and I'll lower my rating.

I said it last week and I say it again - I think Sang-ah is the Chairman's illegitimate daughter. Today's episode added more hints that their relationship is not simply sugar daddy/former mistress.

Question is: Does Yang-mi know?

After ep 3 iam very much convinced chu sang ah is not the morally grey evil character that everyone else is trying…
you wrote: "even her own husband is hell bent on bringing her down with his actions "

I don't think the story is headed this way. In the very first scenes (which is presumably in the last episodes), the ML says: "I did everything I could to protect you, but maybe I chose the wrong way."

As for doing nothing wrong, did we watch different version of that last scene? 😊

Yeah you're right if you're talking about Nana' s character, I heard in one of the interviews that there would…
saw the same interview and they said that the "major twist" was between Sang-ah and the Nana character.

ML and FL also said that both of their characters become monsters - so I don't think Sang Ah is so goody-goody.

I started to write a Character Description over the weekend and will try to finish later today. The "chart"…
lol, I use my phone as well, but the ML/Yang-mi was too blurry, so I typed it out in a Korea>English translator.

Jung Uk/father: simply father & Son
ML and Yang-mi: "Confrontation" [대립]

Would really appreciate it if some kind human would translate the characters’ relationship chart in the photo…
I started to write a Character Description over the weekend and will try to finish later today. The "chart" isn't very detailed beyond what we already learned in the first 2 episodes. - if you have a specific question I might be able to help.

Sneak peek for Ep. 3. Tae-seop and Jong-Uk's dinner meet-up involves a few more people, including some political types urging Tae-seop to run for office. Plus Jong-uk and Yang-mi have an interesting convo (translation was difficult) about . . . family? Regardless, she ain't happy. 😊

She lied to him - but I'm not sure that she "betrayed" him.
I just re-watched a number of scenes (especially some of the flashbacks). There are indications that she had a past relationship with the Chairman because he helped make her a star. But frankly, I'm thinking a really, really crazy thought that she might be his illegitimate daughter - so much talk about bloodlines, mistresses, etc. Like I said - crazy.

Anyway, she lied to her husband. She asked to him to not pursue something and he did it anyway behind her back. Very complicated relationship but no indications of cheating - yet.

First two episodes were intriguing enough. There are no good guys in this drama. It's just a journey to discovering…
Here's a villain, there's a villain, everywhere is a villain-villain. Actually, there's really only one truly evil person (Lee Yang Mi).

I just re-watched some of the flashback scenes and several pieces of the puzzle were shown/mentioned - but it's hard to know where they will end up once complete. It's going to be a roller coaster between past and present, that's for sure.

A bit of a shady scene, but I'm pretty sure the answer is no - otherwise, I'm out.
Murderer? Did I miss something? If you mean the very 1st scene, you know it's misleading, whatever it may be.

Title The Judge Returns Spoiler
excellent!!! so well said.
The scene that finally made me sit up and notice (and it was near the end) was w/Han-young and Baek I-seok. The judge asks various questions - any news on the thumb drive? [why would he care?] will Han-young stay in contact w/Se-hui? [why would he care?]. And why did Han-young say he wouldn't contact Se-hui - and then months later do so indirectly?

Perhaps that scene was 100% meaningless. . . -but contrasted with the final scene at Soejae (with military/authoritarian figures) and some of the hard-line statements you mentioned (Sin-jin called him "rigid"), I agree that the writer laid the foundation - discreetly and subtlety. Frankly, the fact that they revealed this at the end of Season 1 (instead of some sort of shock reveal in Season 2) is a good thing.

I need to go back and re-watch the scenes between Baek and Yu Seon-cheol. Yu called Baek directly to set up the blind date - did they already have some sort of relationship (school, whatever?) before? I still think it's strange that Han-young lied to Baek about contacting Se-hui.

Season 2 is getting closer to reality.

The probability of getting Season 2 just grew exponentially as Ji Sung said he hopes there will be a 2nd season. “Actually..to be honest..I really hope so. Because it's not easy to meet a character that you can feel more affection for, and for me, in some ways, the character of Judge Lee Hanyoung fits me in many . . .and I think I can take responsibility for your time again. . .I just hope we can do Judge Lee Hanyoung Season 2 together.”

From the beginning, the writer wanted to write Han-young’s story over 2 seasons and he intentionally included side plots/conflicts (parent’s bad health; relationship with Se-hui; Gogin Chemical future) that could be developed further. The ending was clearly open (paraphrase: “is this it or does it continue?). The PD said he wants to do a 2nd Season and apparently the upper powers have indicated a strong interest because of the stellar ratings. But if Ji Sung isn’t on board, it won’t happen.
Crossing fingers that we see Season 2 w/in 2-3 years.

Title Undercover Miss Hong Spoiler
It 100% is the son with the shocked looks on everyone’s face. I bet Jung Woo knew all along.
This has been my bet from the beginning as well - and once they said that the son's "driver" (chauffeur) disappeared right after the accident, I was convinced. Unfortunately, the show hasn't kept my interest enough to eagerly watch so I'll wrap the last few episodes up once it is complete.

EXCELLENT VISUALbut still the same Woooden acting... 😭😭😭And yes I have watched almost all her work...Finished…
I laughed when I read "Her nuanced acting, which will convey the character's inner world with depth." She's beautiful, has soulful eyes and I wouldn't call her acting "wooden" but nor would I ever call it "nuanced". We will never see her in a drama with multiple personalities or courtroom theatrics. Peace Out😊
