His #1 stated goal from the beginning was to destroy Jang Tae-shik and Kang Shin-jin. At some point, he made the comment that the son (se-hui's brother) would soon be in jail - but that was confusing because in the drama, the son and father are still managing the law firm in 2035.

In the court scene, the wife of the murder victim had clearly been paid off to falsify her testimony. I assumed that Se-hui was under the same pressure - maybe not monetary, but enough that she wasn't willing to suffer for telling the truth after he betrayed her.

His memory of their past relationship is very warped - he only remembers the bad and definitely doesn't seem to recognize his contribution.

I don't think they had a good relationship at all, but do believe she wanted something more than being so utterly abandoned/frozen out. I recently re-watched their scenes in Ep. 1 and although nuanced, her facial expressions made it clear that she wanted a better relationship with her husband. She was even willing to raise his child. But by then, he had completely shut her out of his life.

In current times, I think has convinced himself that she never liked him and there is no chance it will be different this time around. That's how he justifies flirting with her and using her for his own goals. And he's definitely convinced that he can never care for her. Episode 11 showed that he's starting to get a clue that he's been wrong - both about her and himself. It's the reality-check I've been hoping for.😊

I have always assumed - and still believe - that Han-young gets a satisfactory conclusion to his regression - destroy the bad guys and live a happy life.

However, I'm beginning to wonder if Han-young himself believes in that happy ending. He doesn't appear to be planning a future for himself, his team, his parents or Se-hui. Perhaps that is why he treats Se-hui kindly, but keeps her at arms length with their non-date dating.

Once the bad guys are destroyed - what does he expect to happen? It's not clear.

Is anyone else getting the following vibe??

Upon his return, Han-young guessed/theorized that he "was on probation".

Ep. 10(?), Han-young said to himself "I don't know how much time I have." At the time, I thought he was referring to his father who is slipping into dementia.

But now I wonder - does it helps explain his approach to Se-hu - clearly rejecting romance but still trying to help her?. Does Han-young assume that once he has corrected past mistakes and brought justice to the world, changed the trajectory (in a good way) of people such as Judge Baek and ex-wife Se-Hui, that he will die again? But perhaps he'll be saved from "hell"?

Episode 11 pre-release. Appears to take place soon after the Ep. 10 end (Han-young and Shin-jin wearing same clothes) back at Shin-jin's favorite eatery.

I've decided the only way to watch this drama (and I'm enjoying every minute, including re-watch) is to treat like a cartoon where the good guys ("Pan Vengers" according to MBC) are non-elites with one super-hero (a man who has lived in the future/time-travels back in time) leads them. Arrayed against them are the cartoonish villains - outrageously corrupt, power-hungry, greedy - led by the mega villain Kang Shin-jin who sits behind the scenes, pulling the strings.

@ LemonThief is correct. The scene at the end represents a cartoon version of ultimate corruption where public money (slush funds) are collected and paid to the villains - for reasons not clear, nor are they meant to be clear. Lots of money + corrupt people = evil. Easy to understand.

Also, Han-young is the white knight saving the princess (Se-hui). I think the team and family are safe.

In Korea, the financial crisis began in late 1997 and IMF bludgeon began a few months later Dec. 1997 - so, the drama is just beginning to enter that era. I don't believe it will resemble Typhoon Family, but I hope they treat it seriously.

FL is 35 years old.

At least it isn't "highschool" past connection - I can't think of a single one I have ever enjoyed. I like Go Kyung Po, he's the reason I'm watching and I think the other characters (especially Mr. Lee and the secret spy boss, are intriguing and funny.

I hope they don't screw up the 1997 IMF crisis - it was a major turning point in Korea and shouldn't be treated flippantly.

I don't speak Korean (well, very little) but I read this today from the official website:

The American name is 'Albert Oh' and the Korean name is 'Oh Aram'.
In the company, he is called 'Al Bon (manager)'.

According to the official website, Albert and Nora are both 25 years old, Geum-bo is 35 and Jung-woo is 38 years.

Go Kyung Po is the main reason I put this drama on my watchlist because unlike all the pretty boys in kdrama land, he's actually a terrific actor.

The plot is pretty complex - I have been re-watching episodes just to better understand the sub-plots and the different minor characters and their role and connections. If you wait to the end and binge watch, you will miss quite a bit of the sub-plots.

Hmmmm, let me try to unpack. 😊

Using Her: He's using her to (1) get inside track to manipulate her father - all for HIS goals while telling her (and himself) that it will eventually help her (2) telling her to go to the fake Miracle Asia venue with no explanation. (3) encouraging others to believe he is the future son-in-law.

Changing Her: I agree - he thinks that what he is doing will allow her/persuade her to follow a different direction in life. That's how he justifies his actions towards her.

Reality Check: he's flirting with her, teasing her, manipulating her - and is cavalier to whether it will hurt her. Almost "she treated me badly in the past so she's in no danger of falling for me this time". Wrong!!

And we still don't know why he invited her - an attempt to bring her into the group or a desire to push her away?

Thanks for details on the webtoon. I have jumped around different chapters - so I knew that she followed Jin-ah and was sad that she wasn't part of the group, but missed the fact that he had seen her. So, agree with you - today's ep it appeared that he had invited her and was possibly planning to introduce her to the others. He's been using her all along, convinced that she's in no danger of falling for him romantically - it's time for him to get a reality check and I hope it comes soon.

I think he's supposed to be emotionless - but not providing any back-story as to their relationship is disappointing.

Not the only one, but probably in the minority. 😊 However, it's not clear to me what the writer is trying to do with Han-young, especially what was going on with today's scene with them? Writer should have provided some of HY's internal thoughts - maybe Koreans understood the point, but I didn't. 😒

He wants to revenge just two people: Kang Sin-jin (the man who ordered his murder) and Jang Tae-sik (S Corp). However, he is literally using everyone else - good intentions, but. . . . .?will anyone get hurt? That's my concern.
