Just watched Big Dragon Ep 4 and they put the Pat/Pran rooftop kiss bgm for the last rain scene between the leads. Made me hella nostalgic…Now going for another rewatch…lolz

I finally ended up reading the novel this is based on and bloody darn! My respect for the series has gone up several notches! What in the blverse freaking hell was that novel?😳
There was little to absolutely no plot for about 90% of the novel. I would know because I skipped total 90% of that 90%!! At least the show makers are trying to make them communicate to some extent and not filling the series with NC scenes(It would have been pretty justified as the novel IS filled with them). But they have maintained a very well balanced storyline without depending on NC scenes till now seeing how it is just an 8 episode show.
What I don’t understand is the amount of toxicity in this forum though. There are ppl here who are so condescending to other members who like this show because you know “how can anyone like something they don’t like eh? The sheer audacity I tell you!!” Seriously though it makes me a little hesitant to come to this forum even though I like this show. All I understand from some rants is that they don’t think there is enough NC scenes! Is that all a bl show nowadays amounts to?
I know it’s not right but comparisons are sometimes inevitable. Forum of another BL show I’m currently watching on Mondays has a much much more pleasant environment than this even though quality wise this show is far better. At least no one tries to degrade ppl who watch and enjoy pure fluff without needing a serious plot there(because honestly that’s exactly what that show is about…lol)…No one acts like ‘oh how dare you enjoy a show without understanding the technical details/ with rookie actors whose acting might be a bit raw/or has the classical “my taste and preferences are superior to yours” arrogance’…I guess we are simple people who go with feeling rather than technicalities after all.

I actually had the opposite reaction after the trailer. From the trailer/teaser it looked like it was going to rely on NC scenes heavily. Those are the worst kind of BL you can make imo. There are so many popular ones nowadays which made the lead couple have an explicit NC scene in every episode in place of character/plot development. For sure I thought this was one of those...lol..But in reality it is turning out to be quite different till now(not sure how it would be here on though). Also it is made by star hunter entertainment. How much could you expect from them? I have not seen any of their work have high quality production wise till now tbh. I would say present quality of production of this show is actually quite a leap for them...

That’s so true. One of the leads leads of Big dragon(The one who plays Yai) is also extremely good looking…Our eyes are being blessed with these visuals in BL dramas now…lol
I’m beginning to really like this one even though I started to watch it because of how freaking handsome the leads are, especially the one who plays Yai…He’s definitely an idol material for sure!(He could be one already for all I know)
This is one of the BL’s I have started to watch recently because of the amazing visuals of the leads, along with Big Dragon, without giving too much thought to the storyline. Ah, this shallow heart of mine….lol. It also doesn’t hurt that this seems to be a light drama with not much dog blood plot going on. Just perfect to pass time with a smile on our face☺️
That was a lot of fluff…but so endearing❤️ Most favourite character was undoubtedly Katori and I was ghost-shipping Katori and Tanaka through the entire finale episode…😉I’m going to rate it a 9 just for the wholesomeness 😎
